Stellaris. but not by much.

I am sure if you post this in the Stellaris forums the responses will be different xD

Stellaris is very likely going to be released first.

Since Pdox doesn't do Q4 releases, we're probably looking at a Q3 2016 or Q1 2017 release for HoI4.

Q1 2017? Maybe im just wishful thinking but I really think its gonna be this year.

I prefer the setting and concepts of stellaris but HoI4 looks like a more well made game.

I have some fears and hopes for both.

Paradox usually made me a little unhappy by railroading gameplay progression a bit much. And sometimes also by making simple plans so very labor-intensive to follow (not enough defaults, not enough multi-select configurable & re-orderable lists / tree / graphs and queues with priorities, and so on).

This seems to be getting addressed to an extent vs. what past games had, but I honestly can't currently tell which one of these two might do either better. I'll probably prefer that one, though.

I'm most looking forward to Stellaris, it's a new game and I want a new game in that setting.

HoI4 looks decent but I think I'm going to want to mod units so much to make it more WW2.

I am so surprised at how they handle Stellaris when I look at HOI4 and VIC2.

I do not know, I get the feeling it misses so much details when it is compared to those games. I was expecting at least something closer to VIC2 in feel, with more emphasis on POPs composition and such. It might be adressed in DLC, who knows, but I find it lacking at the moment in overall informations you have about your Empire. It is set in the future, so I guess I was expecting that more informations would come into play,

It is so much abstract at the moment in Stellaris that I am a bit dissapointed.

I mean, I will most likely love the game anyway, but it is a concern of mine.
