Which DLCs affect the mod?

I already know that some DLCs affect the mod, but I'm not sure which ones or how. I want to get the best experience out of this mod but I don't want to activate DLCs that have literally no influence on the game.

Sunset Invasion, the three Dynasty Shield packs and most of the music and unit packs are certainly not used. Many of the face packs are though, as are most of the other major DLCs.

Correction; Unit packs are used if you have them. Redguards will use the African units, Nords the Norse, Bretons the Celtic and Imperial/Nibenean will use the Mediterranean, the Colovian will use the Saxon (they were by a former member of the team, have to use them somewhere ), and the Reachmen use the Russian; also music DLCs will play if you have them activated. None of them, on the other hand, are required though.

Nope.
Do the aztecs even have their own interface?

Ah well the DLC isn't required for that.

I don't know. When I played without Sunset Invasion I think the elves just had the usual Catholic/Faith of Eight CoA. With Sunset Invasion they had the Aztec CoA.
