Those of you that play Sunset Invasion, what is so appealing about the fantasy scenario? Doesn't it ruin the overall feeling of the game?
It's fun and the graphics are awesome. It doesn't ruin my overall feeling of the game because Western Europe is ridiculously overpowered anyway. It is immensely satisfying to watch the Spain-and-North-Africa-holding HRE get smashed by a hundred thousand Aztecs, and a hundred thousand Aztecs invading Europe is just about as plausible as the Holy Roman Emperor being lord of Mali in 1250 anyway.
But mostly because it's fun, and it shakes up the late game just like the Mongol Invasions do. Without them, the late game gets static and boring in all the Christian countries as they tend to be stable blobs by that point unless there's a freak inheritance or something to shake up the balance of power.
