Australia, I want to see if any improvement has been made by PI. Then the British for the same reason. Then the axis underdogs.
I hope the game is dynamic enough that if you do, for example, put Poland into the Axis that someone will get pissed off at someone else and start a proper war.
Well reading on the "gravitating" phenomenon that the devs posted, Im guessing it's going to be very hard to go the opposite way of what your gravitation is - so for Poland to go to the Axis is going to be very difficult, and probably going to anger a few other nations.
First time I will probably play a country like Canada with a nofog cheat on or something like that, to get a feel for how things are done in HoI3.

Probably start with Italy, to do battles against Ethiopia from the beginning. Then, once I get the hang of things, Germany.

Japan. Have started with them in HOI and HOI2, and it's the nation I've played the most as.
1. Beef up Sweden with resources and industries.
2. Annex those pesky Western and Southern Swedes, in addition to the wayward Eastern Swedes.
3. Decide on a whim whether to make war on Russia, Germany, the Allies or All of the Above.
Pretty much my standard starter phase with HOI titles.

I'll play with Yugoslavia and I will kick some US ass with Yugoslavia, then I will kick UK ass with Yugoslavia, then I will kick some French ass with Yugoslavia and then I will kick some German ass with Yugoslavia.

then either Japan to build the Empire of the Sun or if it is playable, Turkey for claiming and getting our old lands back
