I would like to see risk of rebellion in South America as well as in the north. True, this did not actually occur until a bit after 1792 but I definitly think it could have happened. Hade the napoleonic wars been a bin earlier...

It would be great to see Brazil, Argentina and Mexico form. It would also make Spain, the eternal point leader, lose some points.

Also, it would be nice if, say, the american revolution greatly increased the possibiliteies of a revolution in Brazil and vice versa.

Yes, it would be nice to have Brazil and Mexico as possible newcomers. Problem is, that the Aztecs (which can have a comeback through revolt) share the same region with Mexico. Maybe it would be a good idea, if the Aztecs, once conquered, were gone for good and instead Mexico could come up through rebellion. Also, those rebellions should be confined to the period post 1700 or so.

Since this is a computer game I think there should really be no limit on new countries. But here is the list that I think is needed.

Norway-
Novgorod-
Croatia-
Serbia-
Bulgaria-
Macedonia-
Greece-
Albania-
Sicily-
Leon-
Basque State-
Bretagne-
Provence-
Normandie-
Wales-
Ireland-
Iceland-
Finland-
Constantinopel-
Armenia-
Korea-
Hue Empire-
Khmer-
Zulu-
Mali-
Togo-
Cherokee-

More possible indian states, also random european states, e.g. revolt in english lincoln and yorkshire which are not crushed declare independence as the state of York.

Removal of Major power status. If say I as Poland had brutally engaged with russia and taken all provinces except moscow. They hate me yes, but they are a much smaller problem than the minor power hungary. Allow for hungary to seize Russias major power status. Or even better have NO major powers and just allow all countries to be playable.

These are already in the game. Basque State though is represented by Navarra.

I'd think that Navarra would view the surrounding regions as being 'Basque' and want to 'free' them. But not having the game, I couldn't tell you what the surrounding provinces are.

I think one way to add more countries would be to give each province a 'culture' rating. Catalonia/Aragon/Leon are all 'Spanish' but different enough to fight amongst themselves (a la rebels). Same could be said for the French Protestants and Hungarians. Might make for a more interesting game.

Err...maybe this is the wrong board...probably should go in EU2. Worse yet...I rambled. :rolleyes

Well, you guys are going to make the number of minor states exploding in the game.
Between those who existed, those who briefly existed, those who existed just after 1792, those who could have existed.... :)

Compile maps from 600 to 1900 and I think everyone will be happy :)
