Revolts don't happen that frequently after a little tweak in, as far I remember, 1.08. It should be easier now.the_shy_kid said:

France/Poland, I can't play these countries since I'm so pissed at their AI in all my other games, they usually share Germany between them and then hold it all for 400 years. Lately I've been giving them +20 inflation and massive revolts just to see them suffer.

France. The bane of my existence when I'm a European minor, and when I finally get to a point to where I can fight them on what I consider an even footing, they crumple up and don't even give me a good challenge. Granted, my definition of an "even footing" is a nation with almost a hundred thousand soldiers on the French borders ready to sweep through anything in their path, but still...

Really, any scandinavian for being in a position to far away from europe and water around it and where it isnt water its either Russia or Norway in the way.

Austria - the Big White Blob for obvious reasons, or Denmark for always signing away Jylland in peace treaties. The countries I've disliked actually playing have been Nubia (so poor you can't do anything) and the Timurids (how quickly can you lose an empire while making no research progress at all?)
France, France, France and France, they are the big baddies in 90% of my games. Any nation that takes them on will often get funding from me. Also Dakota its an extremely effective lesson in boredom

I don't usually mind France becoming powerful. That country was a big dog right up to the napoleonic era. The country I hate, hate is Austria. Without fail its seems to gobble up a third to one half of germany plus whatever else they manage to its hands on. That big white blob has ruined so many games I wanted to play in Europe.
I agree that as far as playing, the NA native countries are extremely boring. I like playing minors, but some are just a little too impoverished or isolated for me.

I once delved into the whole Asian EUII thing, and was very disappointed by China. It was huge, and I guess I could have amassed a profit, but it was so unweildly, and I felt that I was throwing away so much income into technology, because I'd always be very, very far behind. At least with Indian states you can switch to Sunni, and have a decent tech. Also, the Chinese revolts were annoying. I like revolts to keep things on the edge and for challenge, but I don't like them if they're basically my principal task (putting them down, that is).
The big white blob. I can't stand the sight of it. It starts so small and weak that I fear for its survival, but then suddenly it is big and fat and all other nation are deep in love with it. A country fighting them usually gets money from me. But there is hope: In my current game as Venice they had a civil war, their government came down and had to give up most of Germany. That was a moment of great joy! I send a state present to all new nations; but I am perfectly aware that eventually they will all end up in Austria again, of course. I think this falling down of the government should be a standard Austria event, taking place every hundred years or so. Just to see them suffer makes me feel better.
As a patriot I'm mostly playing as Bohemia.
Mostly hate: Burgundy, Saxony, Würzburg. They hate me , so I hate them.

Ottoman Empire. They always lay their filthy hands on the christian frontier, stopping conversion.
Spain = I just cant stand them and I hate the TOT, so I love to kill Iberians any chance I get
