Maybe, I'm late to the party, and this has been discussed before. Which CK1 feature do the old-timers think should be brought back to CK2?
For the benefit of us newcomers, a short explanation of the "old" system will help. E.g. how was the naval system like in CK1?

no one mentioned sainthood, canonization, or the ability to have a relative or random bishop acsend to the papacy via succession?
those were my favourite features.
Sainthood can be modded in, but yeah the pope election system was great. Now we only have the antipope installment thing. I didn't always much like how it randomy stole priests from my court to fill bishop titles thoughno one mentioned sainthood, canonization, or the ability to have a relative or random bishop acsend to the papacy via succession?

For me it's the province wealth system. In CK1 you could improve or loot provinces changing their base tax value and this was very visible in-game, so you had provinces that went from poor to rich or the other way around over time. It was so nice to be able to script this as well so we had possibility of scorched earth or a province being looted by passing armies.
In CK2... at best we can destroy a random building or holding.
Naval - you guys serious? Magically appearing ships and muslims invading Iceland from the Holy Land?
Edit: oh yes and the actually working Papal system with Popes that have family ties, instead of the 20-year old strangers.
