In NA who is a distributor? Will I be able to purchase it in store or do I have to order it only from Paradox website?

If we're talking about GamersGate, can I strongly suggest that the download price is slightly cheaper than the boxed price? Surely it's cheaper to provide...

If I order a 40$ game in box, I have to pay shipping, then I most probably have to pay customs procedure (cca. 40$), then customs(10% I think), then VAT(22%) again, and there is always possibility of another extra cost attached to it, mostly depends on the mood of local customs office. So, ordering a 40$ game can add up well above 100$. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but. Costs per unit are significantly lower for the download version than they are for boxed version(server and bandwith are probably cheaper than printing CDs, manuals, packing, shipping, retailer profit margins...). They generate instant cash flow the moment PI decides to transfer funds from credit card houses, while getting large retailers to pay up can sometimes take months.
Lower costs, equal price, significantly higher profit margin and instant cash flow. With all the middlemen removed and with instant delivery upon purchase, everyone profits. Both PI as seller and Brownbeard as customer.
As for printed manuals, and bonus content... I dont need it. Printed manual is something I'll spill coffee on. CD is something that gets scratched. Those posters and inlays... clutter, got nowhere to put it. When I get my hands on EU3 I wont stop to read through a 100 page manual. I'll fire up the game and see what its about and learn as I play. Once I'm interested in a detail I dont get from first try I'll look it up, but not before. And its much practical to have it as PDF rather than a booklet. PDF is immune to coffee, tea, hot chocolate, diet coke, you name it. And it does not take any room. These CD boxes are becoming a nuisance.
Bottom line, I want the game and I want it as soon as it comes out, and I'll judge EU3 by the quality of its game engine and not the number of colours in its manual, whatever the box retail price is, I'll find it completely fair for the Gamersgate version as well. I just want it when its released, not a month later.

Isuggest selling it on Cd-wow, they sell with free worldwide shipping and at extreemly low prices such as $66 for Half life 2 on the day of release. But i will proberly buy this in a box and CD form as i feel more secure this way and being an Australian Internet is not so cheap for huge quantities of downloading. (we get 10 gbs a month a 10 mbs for about $60 AU)
what about collectors edition ? Is it possible to download and get CE editions goodies shipped ?

Wrong. I pay VAT for Gamersgate purchases in Sweden. I am in no way obligated to pay VAT twice(which in fact against VAT laws within the civilized world). In theory for any game imported I would have the right for VAT refund from country of origin and that VAT would not enter the value upon which customs is calculated, but that is not the practice with small shipments. Not only is VAT added into the value customs are calculated, but so are shipping costs, and sometimes even fixed tariffs charging the customs procedure. If anyone is breaking the law, then its the customs office, but they're the ones above the law.
