Pretty much the subject...I find the stats and the tooltips a bit confusing at times. Where do I get a good rundown?

Where to learn all the stats intricacies?

I'm not sure how fleshed out the wikis are yet, but you can hover over pretty much anything in-game to see what stats are associated with it. I find it very useful to hover over the combat hits and misses.
Each skill has a primary stat and a secondary stat that gives bonuses to it; 1.5x for the primary and 0.5x for the secondary. You can find which stats are associated with each skill by hovering over them in your character sheet.
