Where to get hides to upgrade leather armor?

Hello.

I have two party members in light/leather armor which I'd like to upgrade, but doing so requires hides which, contrary to iron and bronze ingots, I cannot seem to get hold of in large amounts. Which spire upgrade produces hides?

Currently I've got the Forge and the Library.

The training grounds give the option to hire Verus. He is a hunter who regularly provides hides. Aside from that hides have been for me a very rare drop in containers.

And if you rest 3 times at the bed there he'll restock them, so the training grounds aren't really necessary if you're patient and can afford to buy them.
