Where to find the cd key?

I just bought victoria-complete from ebgames and it is the same with my EU III complete the one with the core games in the cd case and doesn't come with a manual. The cd key with my EU III was on a sticker inside the cd case but this one doesn't have a cd key. I asked the staff from EB games and they checked the other victoria complete but they dont have cd keys as well. So how will I get my cd key? I was worried that I couldnt register my game and access the forums.

One more thing, this is the only game I have from paradox that doesn't start with the paradox start-up where I could directly download the updates,how could I update my game?

I don't know about the CD key, but you should be fine with updates if your version number is 2.01. You should install OHgamer's unofficial hotfix, though (link). It solves some problems the official patch doesn't address.

Only Victoria Revolutions bought from Gamersgate has CD-Key, and that was so old members could access the OT forum, you don't need a CD-key to access the Victoria forums. As for patches, you just download them manually from the forum or the main paradox site.

Ok,so I guess I wont have the victoria symbol under my name then. I tried to download the update on this forum but I couldnt since the page is gone. This game is pretty confusing. So far I understood more about EU Rome. HoI 3 is confusing and so is EU III.

So are there paradox games or expansions only available through online purchase? I was planning to buy the expansion for EU III on steam and probably other paradox games but the problem is I have to buy the main game as well. Any sites available that is safe? As much as possible I avoid purchasing online because my mum is afraid of using her credit cards on a site that couldnt be trusted. I wish there are cd versions of most or all of the paradox games.

I get much of my Paradox games from Gamersgate, never had a problem with them, that or use Steam.

There are many expansions that are only online.

Do I have to buy the main game again if ever I plan to buy expansions at gamersgate? Do they accept paypal?
