Where to find save games if you have steam?

Can't seem to find where my saved games are. I want to take a look at my saved files and use notepad++ but I have to find the files first. I got the game through steam if that helps.

Hope someone can help me out here.

They are located at C:\Users\"User"\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\save games -- any version of the game has it located here. This is also where the mod folder and settings file is located.

oops. I forgot to get a unzip program. I think that should work on .sav files right?

Again this is my first time modding something.
