I'm playing as Ethiopia. I have extra ducats and plenty of force limits available to hire a large stack (just finished quantity ideas). I had a ton of mercenary companies available. I annexed one of my subjects, Yemen, and a bit after that I noticed most of the mercenary companies disappeared. It could also have been after the Ottomans broke their alliance with me (probably more likely). I'm fighting the Ottomans and need some higher-quality companies, hopefully with a good general, as my generals all suck compared to the Ottomans. I've checked the wiki and did a Google search, but I can't seem to find a list of mercenary companies and their trigger conditions. I'm wondering if I just improve relations with a country somewhere if that will do it. Does anyone have a link to such a list, or some general merc pool advice? Thanks.
