A trooper and others, try with a bit of content in your posts... the alternative is to consider it spamming, and I'll just start deleting them..

V

Your lt. gen. is only six spam deleted posts away from being demoted....

As I said, this is not OT, and here I'm a differnt kind of poster....

Ok So this AAR is simply the most read thread on the Paradox Forums, Checked some other message boards and even MaddenMania's Franchise reports boards have not generated 140,000 views. While this may not be everyones "greatest AAR" I thought it was very good.

The LibrAARy is rather clunky and Unhelpfull. Maybe if the Library were broken into 2 posts, 1 for by name and 1 for by region. It's a lot of effort to sort through them all. But I will give much respect for whoever put it together as it must have taken a lot of work.

So I'm guessing this is the 1st Message board where "bump" is a bad thing?

Anyawys Great AAR. Thank you for your time. And Really I'm not arguing read my Sig. I've got nothing but love for the kind and busy Mods. :D

Just got told last night to read this AAR. I spent almost all my time today and last night doing that.

I haven't loaded a single PC game of any kind today.

This AAR was chillingly believable. Bravo.

My only question concerns gameplay (since I still suck large tail at this game), is the AI better now than it was under this patch? I would assume so since everyone raves about 1.06, but things like the Ai not upgrading units and poorly deploying them allowed Germany free rein here.

Nitpicks:

There were no Joint Chiefs in 1944. They were created by the Defense Department Act of 1948. Prior to that there was a War Department that had Secretaries of the Army and Navy (Airforce was part of the Army, Marines part of the Navy). The Pentagon was completed January 15th of 1943 and was built in only 16 months due to the war effort needing larger headquarters. Without US entry into the war in 41, it would not have been built (probably).

Harry Truman wasn't VP until 1945. Henry Wallace was VP until then. FDR dumped him in the 44 election at the urging of the Democratic party. They knew FDR's health wouldn't hold until 1949 and knew they were selecting the next President. Wallace was seen as too Socialist, Truman was respected for his work in the Senate.

Other than that, this AAR has been a minor miracle!

The AAR story is perfect. Like I said, the best part is that it's believable.

I mean, the AI is incompetant and he steamrolls the world, but somehow you (and I!) just kept thinking, "This is where the Brits push them back. This is where the Soviets turn the tide. This is where the American counter attack occurs."

Just a few details that I nitpicked because they were pretty noticable screwups. Not hideous, but nitpicky. :D

Magnificent, absolutely great AAR!
Have not read many, but still this one was very good! Especially liked the "history book" style Yogi had. Reminds me a bit of Beevor (fact he stated in the beginning IIRC). Hope that PDF-happens someday. Would be so much fun!

I cant imagine how people can just read it like that *clicks fingers*. Took me ages to read it, more than 4 days but then again i have a short attention span due to being autistic.

The lost Yogi

Feeling greatly undeserving, reading these last posts here...

My sincere apologies for not showing up here in such a long time. The reason is, I always intended to finish the PDF myself, and pick up the Fu Manchu AAR as well. I wanted to be able to deliver some good news, so I kept putting off coming back here and you know how that goes...

Alas, the kid and now being back in school takes up all of, perhaps not my time, but my energy. I´m not saying goodbye, becuase maybe one day soon I´ll get a few days off and return to AARing, but the PDF won´t be a priority then. Fu Manchu will, the Devil Doctor has no patience with slackers like me... :)

In short, if someone wants to do the PDF, feel free. If someone wants to do new bios, or any other kind of addition or spin-off on WTICG, feel free too. I feel honoured that anyone would want to spend time on such an endeavour.
