Where the hell is my CD key? [Hungarian edition; contact details in thread]

The problem:

I ordered yesteday EU3 from a shop. This morning it arrived so its okey, original cd, box and the book.... I installed it, its okey update bla bla bla... I was woundering it didnt asked for a cd key before installing but no matter i thought. Only 1 problem remains. Where the hell is that number i need to register the game here? There wasnt any card or a paper in the box with any number! Just the book and the CD! So where is that number? I tried to look for it in the book but it is not included. At least for the first and second look. Anybody can help me tell where is it? Or did i get a game without a key or what? Someone stole it from the box before? What the hell??! I want my money back then!.. OMG ... help .. oo öö öö.. :wacko: :wacko: knockedout

That happened to me too when I payed almost 50$(in today's money which makes it even worse I think xD ) on M2TW and the romanian manual didn't have any key in it!! it had some number sticked inside the box that was incorrect :\ what I did is put 9s instead of an actual code ex. 9999-9999-9999-9999 (if u didn't try it already give it a go )this 'tactic' is also good for CS(that is the 1st game I used it on) and it worked maybe you can try the same thing,instead of an actual code just put that one,aldo I'm not guaranteeing it will work out on every game u try it but for M2TW and CS it worked like a charm :rofl: I've solved the problem later do,the code on the box had 6 series of numbers(ex. 9999-9999-9999-9999-9999-9999 but the game only accept 4 series code)it turns out I had to write the 1st 2series and the last 2 series in the box number and it worked lol

I just bought the game in the U.S.

I bought the game at Best Buy (big American consumer electronics/media chain store) tonight. I got a map, a CD, and a sheet of Paradox Interactive stickers with an overleaf giving the Paradox Interactive and Gamersgate websites--but no CD key.

Where do I get the key?

I contacted the Hungarian distributor and they sent my CD key! Bless God huray and so on! Be this an example for all hun EU3 MP players!

"You need to contact the Hungarian distributor. They forgot to print a key on the manual/CD, so all Hungarians have this problem. They were kind enough to send me a key after I asked for it."

I reinstalled the game after a long time of not playing, and this time around i tried playing multiplayer game (something i had not done before) when i found out i had no CD Key, i searched and finally found the answer in this post, but when i tried to email from gmail to this guy so he could send me a Key, and error tells me that says they wont accept the message, it is instantaneous, seems like sevenm.hu wont take anyones emails. Alfonso V could you help me contact this person so they could send me a key? i would very much appreciate it

Thanks,man. I was starting to get really annoyed. I even complained to the retailer and he swore up and down that the game was new and sealed from the factory.

Do you mean The EU3:Complete boxed set? If so: your EU3:Complete box should contain an EU3 map, a page of Paradox lunchbox stickers and a single page Gamersgate advertisement listing five steps for registering your game, etc. The registration code is located on this sheet of paper just below step 5.

If it is missing you may have thrown it out thinking it was just advertising. You'd need to contact the publisher with proof of purchase.

well i have the complete version and i already installed it...thing is my game does not have any cd key written on it,and i can't even remember if i wrote it while installing the game!!!

It didn't, as that key is only for access to these forums and the metaserver, not to install or run the game.

You can't play multiplayer via the Paradox metaserver. You can play via direct IP connection.

Well, not posting in this unrelated EU3 forum would be a start If you got them from Gamers Gate or other download site, you need to contact that site. If boxed versions, contact the publisher.

I have quite similar problem.
I have bought a polish edition of Europa Universalis III, which is already registered at this site.
Some time ago, finally (long time after Napoleon's Ambitions and In Nomine has been released), I was able to bought those two expansions, which in polish edition was named "Europa Universalis III: Zloty Pakiet Dodatkow" (Europa Universalis III: Golden Expansions Set).
Unfortunatelly, there was no cd-keys related to those expansions, so I'm really unable to register it here, nevertheless I really wish to.

I have tried to contact polish publisher, which is Cenega.
I have sent an e-mail to their support. It was sent somewhere at the begining of January this year. Last week I got a message on my e-mail, that my request has not been even read!!
Some time ago I even called them by phone - and got an answer, that my cd-key from EU III basic shall be enough to register both extensions here. Beeing desperate, I even tried such crazy idea - but, as you probably imagine, it didn't work at all.

So - right now I'm a legal owner of two extensions, which I'm unable to legally register, because there is no reasonable way for me to force those lazy publisher to get me correct cd-keys.

My question is - is there any way I could have registered my extensions at this portal, without any support from those damn Cenega's guys? I really would make them legitimate here and got also an access to forum sections related to IN and NA.

Contact Paradox directly, either by PMing a Paradox employee here or emailing support@paradoxplaza.com , with proof of purchase. They MAY decide to help you out with a code gratis, but it is the responsibility of the publisher (Cenega) to request from Paradox the NA and IN codes and pass them onto you.
