the continental model classifying "America" as one big giant landmass is quite limited in scope. US, UK, China, India, Russia, Japan, English-speaking countries, etc. all teach North and South America. The number of people who are actually taught "America" is wayyyyy smaller. To actually complain about ignorance and respect about "America" being a continent when you are in fact the much smaller minority is ignorance in itself.

Oh I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying that's where it comes from.

Just because they aren't showing things to you the way you want it doesn't mean they are "ignoring the #1 consumer market in the world". They've shown these changes throughout the WWW series. Stop pointing at a couple of the streams and ignoring the rest that do show the content you want in to support your evolving, half-coherent argument.

As has been stated tons of times on this thread.
Most of the features have been shown in WWWs or in dev diaries.
Why does showing off the games features as the USA get more sales than showing them as any other nation like Japan?
We have seen tanks in multiple WWWs.
How is a "real" naval invasion any different than a smaller invasion other than it has more troops and takes longer? They are showing us the games featuers, as intended. It does not need to be a massive invasion to show us how it works.
We have seen the air force in multiple WWWs.
How does watching the USA bomb Germany differ from watching Japan bomb China when we're talking about showing off a game feature?

I agree USA would be boring initially, but the Soviet Union was collapsing and would have without the economic in put of the United States. The US fueled the Allied war effort with supplies and equipment. Russia did what it did in the previous World War and mass waves, the human cost was Russia's greatest contribution along with tying up most of Germany's Army. The USSR would not have been able to arm or feed those troops without someone to support their economy while it was disassembled. I would rather see an Italian play through either way.

What do you think would have happened if America did not supply anything to the Allies. How many more Russians would have died without weapons or food?

Where was the naval invasion? Sorry I just don't think that landing 2 divisions in China with zero resistance is showing us how the naval invasions work. That is just my opinion. So we could not witness the D-Day invasion? Because someone would have had to play the game behind the scenes get very close to D-Day then start streaming?
Big changes with the Battle Plan system. Seen any information on that?
Wait fighters don't what? Bombers mystically transport where? AA guns actually work now? But we can't see any of that in action?

So then why not choose to show the largest consumer market in the world how their country did it back in the day? We would only get to witness each and every change and new system that HOI4 uses. Hey, maybe even have an question or two answered in the chat room! Imagine that! Hey America make sure ya'll shell out that $90 for a shit ton of features we promise are there but are not willing to show you.

Well I've explained my side as much as I care to. As you can tell from my previous posts I am one of the largest fanboy's here. It is just sad I can't see the new features that are to be so great but I get to keep watching pre WWI hand gun shoot outs.

Yeah as the other guy said, I doubt the UK would have been able to stop Japan, considering they were busy defending their own islands from the Germans. Though they did have a powerful navy.

Depends on where you live. In the US, we learn there are 2 continents. North and South America. In South America, they learn the entire western hemisphere is "America" or "the Americas". (at least that's what I've been told) So that is why there is a beef with people from the US saying we are Americans. Either way, we are not the only ones. Europeans call us Americans and that we are from America(instead of the US). There really is no solution. It's engrained in the culture of both sides of the issue.

At least on Brazil we learn about South America (America do Sul), Central America (America Central) and North America (America do Norte), with Central and South also being labelled Latin America (America Latina) when together (+Mexico). While rare, if talking about all the three together the plural is used, not the singular.

Have you witnessed a single air battle? Other than Daniel saying "I'm going to throw these Polish air planes in the air but Germany will destroy them in a week." That is an air battle? That shows all the new stuff we read about; magically transporting planes, and fighters that if you choose air superiority or heavy fighters compared to fighters or escorts or or or.
Have you witnessed the Battle Plan System? Seen that puppy in action? See 38 pages of questions? Seen any answers?
Have you witnessed the new navy this and the new navy that? I haven't. You have seen a single naval conflict? One that was not carried out by the AI? One battle where the player used a sub? How about a Battle Plan for the navy. Seen one? Is there such a thing?

There are more examples but they too apparently will go unanswered, unshown and we and especially the new players will remain uninformed.

Ahh good post Iaijka. I had forgotten all about that. I stand corrected. I could not watch that series and I still can't watch it today. That sniffing drove me completely nuts. I tried to watch as much of those videos as I could however the urge to punch something was far greater than the urge to keep listening to sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff to infinity and beyond!

It still does not address the 38 page thread on the BP. It still does not show all of the features that are in the game.

However, I'm learning more about this as people are posting their dissents. I am not married to my opinion and it can change. I'm all for learning and I have no worries or qualms about changing my position and admitting I was wrong. I hope I'm intelligent enough to learn from my mistakes.

America didn't win the war, Russia didn't win the war, UK didn't win the war. Allies won the war, I'm not sure if Russia could have won the war if Germany had 80% of its resources on the eastern front, or if Germany had not invaded Russia and focused on UK I think they would have eventually capitulated and without the help of USA they could not have made a formidable landing party like Normandy and Sicily. It was a joint effort that stretched Germany too thin with a combination of Hitler not being strategic with the resources he had.
