For America?

I think America was the country that won the war? If I’m not mistaken didn’t America end the war?

I think American’s purchase more Paradox products than any other country?

I don’t recall seeing anything American in any WWW or anywhere for that matter.

I guess I’m having a difficult time understanding why America is being left out in the Paradoxian cold. Is there anything else America can do to get the slightest recognition? Can we rebuild Europe? Can we extend billions of dollars in loans and then not collect on those loans?

Anything?

America has also been pretty boring early on in previous HoI games, since it is isolated. Not exactly thrilling to watch.

Soviet Union hasn't seen any love either and their contribution was arguably greater. I think it's because the devs wanted to show off a more "average" gameplay, where USA revolves heavily around slow building-up and USSR revolves on the purges, after which both are nigh-unstoppable.

Russia won the war imho. America just accelerated it.

If you look at the war as allies vs axis vs comintern, then the United States certainly "won the war" for the allies. As in, without their intervention, it's possible that the USSR would have swept through Western Europe.

Operation Unthinkable was considered for good reason.

USA are too easy, and too isolated. For us, to discover the game, it probably will be good, but to watch is boring.

Well, saying "we" is maybe pushing it a bit? Since i doubt it was ever really your money that was loaned out. And the Marshall Aid was granted to rebuilt the European economy, which the American was reliant on. So it wasn't all rose-colored friendship.

America will, along side Britain and France be considered one of the 'Great Powers' and have major important discisions to make during the game :)
What more could you want? You will get to decide the fate of Europe, let it fall, or help defeat evil?

Anyone have any idea what the OP is talking about? Game content? Something to do with streams? DLCs? Pre-order bonuses?

The US is getting lots of love in HOI. They have their own national focii, their own tech vehicle models, probably their own historical flavour events and the list goes on. It was this way in HOI3 and it'll be this way in HOI4.

no single country won the war.
So much this. Little Norway contributed 1000 merchant ships, and Churchill apparently said at one point that they may have helped the Allies win the war. I appreciate the US participation, but still, victory in World War II was a team effort.

Can we extend billions of dollars in loans and then not collect on those loans?
Feel free. I'll PM payment information :3 .

Aahahahah I really love how one sided the 'Russia won the war' argument is here in the favor of the war in the East being the deciding factor... After any play through of HOI as Russia or Germany it becomes pretty apparent where the real land war was.

Singular battles making Iwo Jima look like a cake walk? Check.

The point is to show off the game mechanics, and since the earliest start is 1939 they're in a bad position to show things off there. Paradox is not attempting to define the value of the countries involved when they're doing WWW, they're just showing off a product which will include the USA for those interested regardless of what's being shown off.

America has also been pretty boring early on in previous HoI games, since it is isolated. Not exactly thrilling to watch.

Well this is true but couldn't Daniel just play America up to 1/1/1941 then turn on the stream? Then we could watch the attack on pearl harbor and then go forward from there?
How could anyone not want to see America liberate France? Naval invasions? Shore bombardments? Paratroopers? Supply lines? North Africa?

I'm no WWII expert but I'm thinking that most if not all Europeans today would be either under fascist or communist rule if not for America. I know that other countries lost mucho doods. However most of them were fighting for their own homelands. Americans were fighting for your homeland, not theirs. o_O

I'm just talking about the WWW.

I know your intentions are probably good, but saying this is just as ridiculous and inaccurate (if not more) as saying "America won the war".

Saying any single country 'won' the war is inaccurate, revisionist, disrespectful, and just wrong.
