Where is Madeira and Porto Santo Islands?

Lots of people (well at least me) pointed out in EUI that Madeira and Porto Santo Island were missing!

"No problem we will make things right in EUII!"

Well where are the islands? I'm tired of looking around!

Maybe you don't understand:
same thing, for example:
If you don´t put Texas in EUA or Niteroi in Brasil or Canarias in Spain or North Ireland in England or Bordeaux in France!

I've heard of Madeira (tasted some excellent sweet wine from Madeira, in fact), but not of the other name you mentioned

Regarding Porto Santo

Azores archipelago has nine islands (Terceira, São Miguel, Graciosa, Corvo, Pico, Faial, Flores, São Jorge, Santa Maria)

Madeira archipelago has two islands (Madeira and Porto Santo)

You can´t put all provinces in ??

In the Caribbean they put small islands and considering the strategic importance of Madeira in the Portuguese Trade Empire ...

Cristovao Colombo lived there for several years and learned the movements of the sea there ...

There is a huge amount of islands missing in the Pacific as well, but including them all with decent property values would change the game too much.

I suppose it was a question of choice.

The problem is that I (like many others - at least portuguese) don't understand what was the criteria:
- Madeira is bigger than many other islands that appear in EU (nor only in size but also in prodution)
- Madeira is much more important then many other islands that appear in EU.

It had an extreme importance in the discoveris of the new world. Not only it was an important port, not only Colombo lived there but he even port there when returning from the new world before arriving Spain reppairing his own ship (probably if Madeira didn't exist he couldn't have reurned to Spain after discovering the new world!).

Well, I know the injustice will never be corrected in EU2

I love this game, anyway...

I guess because I have heard of every other island in the game but have never heard of the one you mention.
So I guess you guys need a better PR firm.

Most of them were only created through a flood in during the game period? Oh...

Not quite that simple!
There is a thread in the editing forum about it but success has stalled.

Bout' something in the news recently.. the piece of rock that Spain and Morocco (Algiers?) squabbled over recently.

If such a soccer field size piece of land could cause a minor diplomatic crisis today, what would the exclusion of Madeira do to EU2? *recoils in horror*

Seriously, if EU2 was to include every island in the world, there won't be much challenge trying to get ships across the Pacific or Atlantic while minimising attrition. And imagine how many more sea zones would be required.. *shudder*
