I see on Steam its £31 for me (10% off for having a Paradox game already) plus you get two DLC, CK2 game converter (which I believe is free if you preorder no matter where you preorder - is it?) and a free copy of CK2 (which I already have).

Whereas Paradox on their site are offering three DLC (one of which hasnt been announced yet) for around £30.

Any other places I could buy it, and get a Steam copy, that perhaps has a better deal on?

I'm fairly sure the 'unannounced' DLC from the Paradox webshop pre-order is the CK2 converter. In any case, have a look here:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/au/en/pc/games/strategy/europa-universalis-iv/#item-s2

$39.99 USD, with a $7 cash back within three days (making it $32.99) or $10 of in-store credit.

There's also a 20% off voucher, but I'm not sure if it applies to EUIV.

I've only had good experiences with GMG, although they won't send you the Steam key until release.

Yeah so on GMG EU4 is £30 (including the cash back offer) but otherwise the same as Steam. So you get the cash back after 3 days. Thats a bit strange why dont they just take it off the sell price? I think I would rather pay £31 and get it from Steam in that case.

If the Paradox unannounced DLC is the converter that would make it similar Steam but £1 cheaper approx except you get a free copy of CK2 via Steam that I could give to my brother or trade for cards. Steam still sounds better.

Are you sure it includes the cash back offer? Because 30 quid shouldn't be the same as $32.99 USD.

According to a converter, 30 quid is $45.50 USD... I paid $50 AUD ($45 USD) for the Digital Extreme Edition, got $12 in-store credit and then bought Rome: TW2 for $37 USD.

Up to you.

EDIT:

GMG gives Steam keys, meaning you get all DLC, including the Converter and the copy as CK2 as well. Here:

Pre-Purchase and receive:

100 Years War Unit Pack DLC

Adds new, unique unit models to the belligerent nations of the 100 Years War. Included are 11 infantry models for the warring nations, including England, France, Scotland, Burgundy and many more

Purple Phoenix DLC

Adds new, unique events and themed event pictures, as well as several new unit models to the Byzantine Empire

Crusader Kings II Free + CKII Exporter to EUIV

That's from GMG.

Well when I went on the page it said EU4 was £34.99 and you get £5 cash back or £7 GMG credit.

Working out from your price it should be just under £22 for me. But I assume that is the UK tax though - I tried to buy it on the Paradox website as it said it was only £24 or so but then just before I ordered it they added on £6 in Tax! We obviously pay excessive tax in this country, for the added benefit of being kept in a recession for several years longer than anyone else, and getting terrible deal on petrol.

Just out of interest what do you have to pay on Steam in dollars? Here in the UK its £34.99 but with 10% off for owners of other Paradox games. What price do you pay?

The Brits usually get cheaper prices than the rest of Europe in my experience. In this case, they're the same, since most sellers seem to think that USD equals EUR.
