Where do we post stuff that is not exactly a bug ?

I've played some hands-off games with Cuba now (3 to be exact 1936 onwards, normal/normal) and have noticed a couple of things ... they're not bugs, just you know, illogical behaviour of the A.I. and such ...

1. Italy never joins the Axis, but DOWs the Soviet Union at the exact same time as the Axis does ... but even then doesn't join ... they don't even have a common border or anything ... so the hapless Italian Army now has a war on it's hands that it's not gonna fight (happened 2 out of 3 times)

2. There are overall very few A.I HQs in the game. Barabrossa just started in April '41 and the Germans have 150 divisions but only two HQs. The SU has 200 divisions and 3 HQs, the British have only 1 HQ ... this is in stark contrast to the abundance of HQs in the demo
(happened 3 out of 3 times)

3. All of Vichy-France's colonial possessions (N.Africa, Indochina) get immediately invaded after the Vichy event fires. This one kinda makes sense if the A.I. is really programmed to play to win. (happened 3 out of 3 times)

Don't get me wrong, I like unpredictability. I just would like the A.I. to make use of HQs the way the human will ...

Monday I'll start my first REAL game as the UK. Can't wait. :D

1)Italian neutrality is set to be a bit too high, a known issue

2)Yeah, I've noticed that as well. Perhaps AIs should be told to have a higher priority on HQs, especially the German one.

4.) A.I. Germany behind the Urals by December 1941, having 200 to the SU's 100 divisions (the UK is second in 1942 with 140 divs !!!)
5.) Japan doesn't get anywhere, gets bogged down in China (that's ok), some half-hearted attempts in the philipines, no landings anywhere else (2 out of 3 games) (navy still intact)
6.) A.I. Germany has surrounded two seperate empty SU provinces with infra=0, AFAIK the SU will not be able to Strat.Deploy fresh troops into these empty provinces, yet Germany and it's allies heavily guards these pockets (15+ divs per pocket) that apparently pose no danger

I'm not down-talking on the game, just want to help trying to weed out some of the issues ...

How many HQs do you build? I often only have 2 or 3 when starting Barb. I did say many, many times that HQs were a lot less common in the real game than they were in the demo (the demo was taken the historical OOB and many anything with HQ in the name an actual HQ)

None, so far. I haven't had the time to actually play the game :( ... I just let it run on a secondary computer while I play a different game with my friends on my primary machine in a mini-LAN

I plan on having at least one per Armygroup (Norway, africa, west, 3+ in the east). I must have missed your statements regarding the HQs in the demo/grand-campaign :)

In my last game with Germany on hard I only had two HQs for Poland and France and it worked fine. The Ardennes scenario is certainly not representative.

In my opinion HQ's are very important cause they may give significant combat bonus and they increase stack limit of units that can take part in combat. I am personally trying to keep ratio of 1 HQ per every 23 divisions if i can support it with ic.

I start out with plans like that too, but then I try to find the IC to build them...:)

I don't have the game yet (ask your publisher to release it already in the UK!) but looking through the unit files, I notice that one of the later Cavs doesn't require fuel. Armored Cavalry Division, model 4, is the best non-secret-weapon cav, but unlike Semi-Motorized Cav, model 3, it does not require fuel. Perhaps I'm missing something, but doesn't Armored Cav mean it has mechanized units, which presumably need fuel?

Saw this thread and thought this might be the right place to post.

The pic for the UK Leander class light cruiser is one of the firgate from the 60's and 70's.

Anyone know how I can replace it myself.

Just started my 1st game as UK and loving it.
