I want to build up a real colonial empire with Sweden , but i don't know where did Sweden build up colonies. So can anybody tell me where was the Swedish colonies?

I know that wasn't impressive , but i want to built up the historical Swedish empire. Anyway, thanks a lot , i'll start colonising when its possible.

This just isn't true. Chicago wasn't founded until after the War of 1812. The French had built a mission there in the early 1700's but the mission failed and was abandoned and the area that would become Chicago wasnt occupied again until 1779 by an African American named Jean Baptiste Point du Sable who moved from Sainte-Dominque and settled there. Fort Deerborn was built at the site from 1803-1804. During the War of 1812, the fort was abandoned due to fears on Indian attack and was burned after the troops left. The fort was rebuilt in 1816 and Chicago would finally be incorporated as a city in 1833.
No Swedes but a few French folk in the early history of the area of Chicago.

sweden had a colony in delaware, one in west africa, and an island in the west indies as far as i know.

Sweden also tried to establish a colony in Madagascar around 1717-1720 but the expedition never left Europe.
As far as overseas colonization in my games are concerned (I love playing the AoM scenario) I try to get my hands on Roanoke or Connecticut, a sugar island in the Caribbean, Table and then Copetonas (in my latest game, I've had very good luck expanding in South America against the Spanish).
