Hello everyone,
I want to add some songs to the playlist of some mods, but I don't know where the music folders are.
I searched in Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2, but there's only the AGOT mod music folder.
Does anyone know where the music folders of mods like WTWSMS or Avatar -Four Nations are ?

Hi! Are you using a manual or workshop install? Because for WTWSMS our music folder is WTWSMS\music, but if you use the workshop install you will have to unzip the archive. This applies to any other mod, unless they package the music as a separate mod. Nonetheless always look in \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod rather than just \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II to find mod files, the other folder will store saves, screenshots and logs for the mods that enable it, but is not where the install is.

Thanks for the quick reply !
Indeed I was using the workshop install. AGOT was the only mod that didn't, so it had its own folder.
So I just have to unzip the archive in a folder with the same name ? Should I also remove the archive after that ?

Nother thing: I was playing WTWSMS right now and a song that I had put in the vanilla game music folder started playing. Is that normal ? Does the mod use the vanilla folder in addition to its own ?

Depends on what you want to do with the music. But if you want to keep playing with the workshop version you should keep the existing archive (and it will redownload if you remain subscribed).

In general it depends on if the mod does a replace_path on the vanilla music folder or not, but for WtWSMS in particular this is normal, since our music is defined to be added on top of vanilla rather than replace it. That being said I do recommend you to create your own personal mod for any new music you want to add, to ensure Steam does not remove it when updating your game.
