Why do you need them, installing the latest patch is enough, it includes all the changes of the older patches

First of all, thanks for your help in regard to my question, perhaps I should elaborate my problem with installing HOI 2 patch v1.3 to my HOI 2 vanilla. After I installed the patch to my HOI 2 folder an error message appeared (something like ill_switch .... etc) and the game just frozed. I suspected that maybe I should intall the other two previous patches (v.1.0 and v1.2) to solve this problem. It's been two years since my last HOI 2 games and I'm a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure all the do's and don'ts will come back to me ... eventually. Also, I'm having some problems with some of my sprites, the TACs and CASs (nation specific) didn't show up correctly in my games, they are still being represented by the fighter sprites I also raised this issue under the modification section in this forum and no takers so far. Do you think maybe I can have your two cents on this? Anyhow, please pardon me for asking this silly question and as my screenname suggested: I'M AN IDIOT! cheers
