Where are the 30-year games?

You know, the ones where someone would start a game, play it for 30 years, and then pass it on to someone else who knows nothing of what happened in the reign(s) before him. Etc etc until 1819.

The participants would write a short aar about their 30 years, this was always a fun read.

But where have they gone? I can't find any related thread anymore. Are people still doing this?

I think he is talking about one thread in wich you would play for one monarch reign, then post your save, then another player would play another monarch reign, etc. etc. etc.

No I mean the ones where the 1st person plays exactly 30 years (so from 1419 to 1449) and the 2nd then plays from 1449 to 1479 etc etc. I think about a year ago, there were several of these, one with Poland, another with Milan, but there were more.

Your suggestions also sound fun by the way.

Ah, those were the fun ones. Joined most of them to play a reign in, including the one mentioned above. But I can't remember a 30 year life span. I do remember one which died around 1660 after failing to post an AAR.

Tuscany 40 year reigns

Too bad those games aren't around anymore. Because they tend to last as long or even longer then MP games, most of them die silently rather quickly.

I've considered starting a game like this with the same concept, just applied to a mega-campaign.

There was one about Milan, too, I'm sure of it. It started out with getting very high inflation in the first reign.
