So I had a game as Germany, 30 factories producing fighters, but they never showed up in my stockpile even though they were getting sufficient resources. Are the planes that are produced being sent to replenish airwings that are taking losses? I've only got about 200 hours in the game, I'm very much a noob, I ask this because Greece absolutely ruined my last Germany game by taking Bulgaria and my army couldn't do jack about it because I didn't have any fighters to take air superiority.

New aircraft are automatically added, first to airwings lacking planes to meet their assigned strength, then to replace obsolete models. Only after those are done, will new aircraft begin to accumulate in the stockpile.

You should be able to look in your production tab and see if they are being stock piled (green), used for upgrades (yellow arrow) or for reinforcements (medic cross).

But the way to manage it is to create the wings, check on them regularly and check in the air combat zones ( like Western France as an example) to see if you are being vastly outnumbered.

The UK can, if it chooses, deploy about 4000 fighters to one zone and make mincemeat out of yours.

And keep in mind as Germany you start out with half of your airforce being outdated. In 1940, when you get new models, about 75% is outdated. So you are unlikely to see stockpiles unless there's a pause in 1940 and you don't contest the skies with the UK (set many wings to interception rather than air superiority).

I don't really follow the "tons of fighters" strategy as Germany. More like NAV, CAS, Fighters, heavy tanks, AAA, tons of artillery, superior firepower

Why build CAS when you dont have the fighters to protect them from being shot down or at least disrupted?

I figured out the problem, I looked at my fighters in the logistics tab and it said (I believe) that the planes being produced were going to replace destroyed planes in my air wings.

I've never heard of not producing fighters as Germany, is there a guide on the proper use of air force as Germany?

I'm sure there are plenty of guides if you look it up on Youtube for example.

In general, you should put a substantial amount of MILs for aircraft production, build enough to have more/better planes than your enemies when the war start.

Later you don't need that many (only for actual combat, there's no point in keeping thousands of your fighters flying above England when you don't plan to take them out right now) and you can help yourself quite a bit by adding some AA into your unit templates, even just adding a support AA makes a huge difference for your land units.
