Where are my game saves going?

Some Questions

While I can still load into them, some of my game saves are not in the folder for them. Where should they be? :wacko:

I generally play vanilla.

Hmm, maybe you have two copies installed? Play the first one and check a dir of the second one?

It's still saved in the corresponding EU2/Scenarios/Save Games folder though. Which is where they should be unless something very weird is happening. :wacko:

Well, if he had EU2 installed both in, let's say, d:/EU2 and c:/EU2... He would be playing c:/EU2/eu2.exe and by mistake looking at d:/EU2/Scenarios/Save games.

But nah, that's not that possible.

I only installed it into the main drive c thing. For awhile they will be in the folder, but then one day when I go through it, they simply won't be there. I can still loan into the games though.

So you can still open the saves from the game but cannot find them in the folder? They must be in the EU2/Scenarios/Savegames folder that the only place the game looks for files. I've shifted them into plenty of other folders and it never brings them up in game.

If this is the case and e.g. its AGCEEP the saves go to EU2/AGCEEP/Scenarios/Savegames

try searching for them with the wndows find. search for files or folders with keyword name_of_savegame.eug

There was actually another EU2 folder where my game saves and screen shots were going to. I feel like such an imbecile for not using the search feature though.

You can always search for the ".eug" extension to find your files, no matter what mods, etc., you have.
