I must be missing something, because I should have more civs than I think I do. Maybe there's some place that tells you exactly how many you have, and I just haven't located it.

I started the game as Germany with 30 civs, then I built at least 4, before completing Hermann Goring-Werke, which should have given be another six (as I understand it), so I should have at least 40, but I can only find 35 of them. How in the world does one lose 5 or more civilian industries? Thanks!

Here's what I'm seeing:

I'm far from a pro at the game, and I'm still learning where to go to find info. I looked around a bit and I was very surprised to notice more inconsistencies. In one case, I actually lost three factories? How in the world do you lose a factory, when all you've been doing is building civilian factories?

Here's me losing total factories and dockyards:

Now 74 in this graph

Only 73 in this table

I didn't convert any. I only built new Civs and then completed the Focus. I'm really confused.

Here are the provinces where I've been building civs since the start of the game.

I just finished the second of the two Focuses that give you civ factories, and I did get six from that focus. It seems the game simply subtracted three civ factories for no reason, those being the first three that I built??

You began with 32. You built 4 and got 6 by focus. You should have 42 total. You spend 7 on trade and 11 on consumer goods, altogether 18 spent civs not working on construction. You have 24 civs working on construction. I'm seeing no missing civs.

Thanks for taking a look at everything! I see how you arrived at the correct number. :)

I started over and I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a single place a player can go to see the actual number of civ factories, unless you open up your construction tab and count the number in each province, as Synicus suggested. That's tedious.

I also noticed that the number of civ factories in the trade screen decreases and that there is no place that I can find that would show how many civs are being used for trade. I've learned I have to look at the total trade coming in and divide by 8, giving me the number of civs I'm using for trade.

It also appears that the number of civs shown in the Intel screen is the same as what is shown on the trade screen, so even though it's my own country, I can't go to the intel screen and see how many civs either my country or another country actually has. I can only guesstimate that the other country might be using some civs for trade or something else.

As a less experienced player, I think it sure would be nice if there were a screen that showed the actual number of civ factories, then how many are being used for trade, how many for consumer goods, and how many for other things like the spy development or spy missions. That would have made things a lot easier for me, and maybe others in my shoes.

It's in the tooltip if you hover over the civilian factory number at the top of your construction queue. Note two civs being used for "imports." Only one is actually being used for trade. The second is being spent on a production license. That is something that the game likes to hide.

In your construction queue, above the actual lines working, is a line with the number of total trades being done, and if you hover over it, there is a tooltip breaking down how many factories for what resources are being traded to which countries.

This same information also shows up on the intel screen, but there the breakdown is split among two icons. The civilian factory number does not include trades, for that you also have to include the trade number. Neither shows civs being payed out in licenses however. That truly is a well-hidden number.

That construction queue looks very good! What mod is it? Is it ironman compatible?
I see you also have a not standard map view. What mod is it? Is it ironman compatible?
Do you mind sharing all the ironman compatible mods you use?

The map view mod is microcontrol helper. It may just be me being a monkey, but I swear microing without it is nigh impossible. It makes the borders between tiles so much clearer. It is ironman compatible.

The construction queue mod is minimized construction hud. I like it because I like things being neat and tidy, but unless you have 200+ civs working on construction you really don't need it. One thing that is missing from it is the move up/down buttons, which by themselves will be unnecessary, but shift-clicking on those buttons to move to top/bottom is something that I miss. I'm pretty sure that it's ironman compatible.

Other ironman compatible mods I use include better air wing deployment, wide division template window which I think is deprecated and should be replaced with wide templates window, but whatever if it still works it works and I'm only gonna update it when it breaks, coloured theater alert icons (sic), and coloured buttons.

Just had time to go over it today. Absolutely fantastic work on your end! Thanks again! I can see that everything I was looking for is available, though it may not be in the places I expected to find it. Really nice work and so helpful!
