I want to pre-order the game*, but couldn't yet (at least not on Steam).

Is there a date known when pre-orders will be available?
I'm especially interested in the Deluxe Edition.

Or an estimated date?

(*Normally I'm skeptical about pre-orders, and I have been burned more than once.
But I have faith in Colossal Order and the way Paradox handled the Sword of the Stars 2 debacle (no hassle money back), so I don't have any issues regarding pre-orering this.)

Unless it comes from CO or Paradox I wouldn't trust any release dates. Many shops have temporary dates just to show it's coming and it's available for pre-purchase.
So unless the date changes on Steam or is announced by official channels...

No. I've paid more for more stupid games.
Well, ok, it depend of you and how you want to spend your money.
But sincerely, i think it's a little too much for a game where devs tell you "we know, buildings look a little bit the same, anyway there will be modders that will do something about".
I mean, i would see a solid game (and i think it will be) but also a well done game in every parts. For 50 euro there can't be small farms, no tunnels, lack of buildings (and where most of them are used since the first cities in motion) and so on!
(it's a personal honest opinion, obviously)

One should never pre order a video game. Ever. When you think it is justified because you liked other titles of this company and/or you simply want to support this small team of devs because they are very likeable, then do so. I wouldn´t even pre order DOOM 4 or any GTA title although I am sure they will always be the bomb.
And by all that´s holy, can we finally get some more information about that modding support? To me this game will fall or rise with that.

Kinda agree. I have to point out that the cheaper is always better. And for example tunnels and Day/Night cycle is something that I definitely expect to get for free post release. Bigger farms, building packs etc. though, I don't care so much if they will cost something.

it will be released Q1 if they don't bump in to problems:)

So I've been quiet and lurking for a long time now. I have a question: Are things still on track for 'Q1' 2015? Steam still says Q1, but I did note that the guy in the video only said 2015; he did not say Q1!

If it's not ready, then it's not ready, and I'll have to wait whether I like it or not, but is there any feedback you guys at CO can give at this point?

P.S. I'm more than happy to alpha, beta, or even omega test the thing; just let me know ;)

Yes, we're on track!

Well I don't see $/€50 so realistic, not even 40. I think it will be $/€30, the most important factor is competition, since the XXL will be around $/€30, yeah... I could be wrong though, maybe PI is waiting for XXL to get released, and will see if it's good stuff or not, and may release game with a higher price tag who knows!
