I'd love to know what are the plans for india. I hope I'm not asking a question that's been asked too many times already

It's been asked a lot, just skim through the SWMH thread. I remember a maybe for the end of the month, but I doubt it will be that soon. I do believe they would release it before the next dlc, but I am no authority on the matter. End of the year for sure.
I hope soon, but there's no telling, I'm afraid. I thought last time they said it'd be finished in july, but that seems to have failed. Whatever, as long as they do a decent job, I'm happy. I do really hope it'll be here soon, though. I reeeaaally love playing muslims (am I the only one, btw?) with the new decadence system. And I'd really like to have an other direction to conquer than West.
From what I've read, they'll include India up the to Rajahstan. But next time, it would be wise to search before posting, because it has been indeed asked and answered at least a hundred times if I remember correctly.

Btw, there is a whole thread about India and SWMH and it's not even that far in the sub-forum (only page 3).
We certainly don't want to disappoint anybody, so AFAIK we were very cautious about promissing any exact date so far. If any date (july?) was ever mentioned it was either as a wish, or (IMO much more probable) we said that it definitely won't be before the end of july (IIRC Aasmul was quite busy at school and I was overwhelmed by work in early summer). We are doing our best, but we are all quite busy with our RLs, so we would like to ask you to be patient.
As soon as we have something more concrete to say, we do reveal what we can.
At the moment we can say, that whole Rajasatan will be included in SWMH map as well as Central Asia all the way to the gates of Jungaria, as well as most of the Tarim Basin.
Concerning India, we can't promise a real overhaul, but - at our best - rather something what we did with Persia in our current version.
As for a date - we hope that in the upcoming weeks we will start doing some dev diearies of areas which will have been done by that time. I hope I won't reveal too much if I say that one of the first DDs will be about early Central Asia.

Can't wait for those DDs. I hope that one day you will be able to redone Northwestern India, though, currently I play very cautiously in the Middle East, steering clear from Arabia and Persia, they are even harder to accept in comparison with redone areas.
The initial Rajasthan will be the Vanilla setup fitted onto our new map.
And Elvain is currently overhauling Persia alongside Central Asia, so there is no need to steer clear of that anymore once we release the next version.
I understand that, what I was trying to say is that un-redone areas look horrible in comarision to redone. Perhaps it's better to just leave an area entirely out then frankenshtein vanilla setup to SWMH (ofc it's too late for India and is impossible for Arbaia, so it's just my rambling)
Thankfully we are starting to run out of areas that needs to be overhauled, so this problem will disappear completely before too long

The Area that i have been put in charge of (Western/Central Anatolia + Greece/Thrace), plus Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan need to be overhauled too after the map projection of the Caucasus was altered. And Elvain are planning on taking a look at Syria and Mesopotamia alongside Arabia (Mesopotamia was never overhauled in the first place, the provinces was just moved to more appropriate locations.
I'm not really sure if i'm missing anything right now.
And Ruwaard is working on a streamlined setup for the HRE to replace the current rather patchy setup, that is the result of several people adding more and more ideas to the region.
Any chance we could get to know what will be the new cultures in the new version of SWMH? Really hope Crimean Goths make it. Would be cool also if there was a similiar setup of cultures and states in the Caucasus like in the Armenia submod.
The current Eastern Border was always sub-optimal, and the team had planned on pushing it eastwards before they even announced RoI.

Like said several times already, cutting Iran in the middle as it was, was unacceptable and unbearable and I will repeat it again, if the previous DLC was not a map expansion eastwards, you would all already be able to play SWMH in CentralAsia from Samarkand to Almalik.

That's funny. Compared to Syria, Mesopotamia and Egypt i actually think that the current Arabia looks anything but spectacular. So yeah, i think we can make it a lot better.
