When the kingdoms change names?

I know when West and East Francia change their name to France and Germany.
I know when Lombardy changes to Italy.
But can someone tell me when Middle Francia should change to Lotharingia and Pannonia to Hungary?
In my games started in 769 they never changed.

I think they are dependant on the holder's culture aren't they?

What is the culture of the current title holder? Middle Francia is the name under a Frankish ruler, Hungary requires Hungarian /Magyar culture.

Pannonia changes to Hungary when the Magyars invade.

I don't know about Middle Francia.

As far as I know, Hungary is formed by decision.

Off the top of my head:

• The Avar Kingdom changes to Pannonia when a non Avar rules it (pre Magyar invasion).
• Pannonia changes to Hungary if / when the Magyars invade and the Kingdom of Hungary event fires.
• Kingdom of Lombardy changes to Italy when a non Lombard character holds the k_italy title.
• Pictland changes to Scotland / Alba when a non Picttish character holds the k_scotland title.
• West and East Francia changes to France and Germany when a non Karling character holds the k_france / k_germany title.
