I know, I know. Seems like 1945 is racking up the votes. If this is the trend, we're gonna have to delve into history books more than we thought!

I have serious doubt about beginning in 1945
1. Vonson is allready making a game that begins in 1914
2.The research. The whole idea by creating a future scenario is that you dont need research. (Not so very much) With this we can make a longer scenario, but its not take the same time to create it.
3. The lenght of the scenario. If we begin in 1945 we add 46 new years.
4. The EU II system. If we begin in 1945 its not easy to simulate the wars. But if we begin in 1991 and later we make our own wars and we can make them better fit EU II.

I agree; Vonsson's scenario is there for those who want a cold war game. Combined with AON, we take EU2 to the ends of infinity.
As project leader, you should PM Uglyduck to create a new poll, with the top 3 or 4 choices from this one.
Actually it would be much more tedious since he gotta research all that history and should script events for many countries. Lots has happenned between 1914 and 1991.

Because that way the enourmous work with event scripting between 1945 and 2002 could be spent on "making" up events post-2020..just my personal opinion of course..

Please kill this poll; we have already arrived at a solution for four different start dates and the cold war is too many extra tags and too much extra work.

Hey..why not split the project in two?

1. Vonsson is allready making a scenario under that time. If we also started doing one it would be like stealing.
2.It is way too long. For an example AoN is only 100 years.
