There won't be another large update until after August at the minimum. PDX Tinto are separate from Paradox Development Studios and are currently on holiday.

Also, OP, the Hoi4 team is still on Holiday, those Dev diaries will be pre written, and they mentioned in the recent multiplayer hotfix that most personnel are still on holiday.

Expect a patch maybe early October. I think atm the game is in a fairly stable state, so they won't be in any rush to get a brand new patch out ASAP.

Republics are broken, republican tradition doesn’t do anything. It sucks to be stuck playing monarchies the whole game
I can't reproduce that. Unrest reduction, stability cost increase and burghers loyalty still work in my game. It is just the Reform Progress Growth which doesn't work, but that is not unique to RT, other sources which use reform_progress_growth also don't impact the government reform progress.
But I don't see why that makes republics unplayable. They were playable before they had extra reform progress.

It's kind of weird, because the team is supposed to be in Spain, not Sweden. Perhaps they are taking a month's break as part of Swedish holidays and then another month's break as part of Spanish holidays.

their holiday should have been delayed a bit so they could push out another fix. At least fix more of the game breaking bugs that you can't really avoid. Currently whats keeping me from playing is the fact that condotieri does not do morale damage. (I want to use it but even if I chose not to, it would effect a lot of wars in strange ways as my allies and enemies are bound to want to use it sooner or later).

No, taking people's vacation time away to do this is unethical. I get it, there are bugs in the video game. But forcing them to stay through any or all of a vacation time will only increase the stress and decrease productivity of the team. The game, at least to me, is in a playable state and the 3 runs I've done have had no issues. They did rush out fixes to make it this playable before vacation.

The game is a mess. Still a lot of bugs, NA natives mechanics are broken, pillage and concentrate need a rework, terrible performance issues for many players and so forth...

Yep, having it be completely impossible to get some of the reforms makes republics even more of a false choice than usual.

Sadly, this continues the trend of "break the game to address something allegedly too strong for the player" wrt reform progress. I'd have hoped the lesson learned from the Inti bug would have carried to now, but seems it did not.
