from experience, it's not problematic at all if you implement a transition period of, say, 2 years, where both units are used side-by-side. though i still think of people's heights as feet-inchesAmerica uses both the MM/DD/YY and the Imperial system. Would love if we used the Metric system, but for most daily life it would be too problematic to quickly force a change, as people are used to using imperial measurements to visualize measurements in their heads.
In my opinion we are all doing it wrong. Thest best way to write a date, so that you are easily able to sort it afterwards would be yyyy/mm/dd according to my experience.
I think the metric system is the closes the world has ever come to agree on something
