When is the latest you have joined the war?

As I try to play Dem. Japan, I notice I can only really be ready for a war with Russia or Germany by 1942 if I want to fight with the shiny toys. Yet, I always feel bad about being at war later than 1939.

How "late" have you guys joined the war?

I always join war the on the historical date, no matter if I’m ready or not. We don’t get to decide when or how to do things we only must be ready when history calls.
