Crusade call. Pope tells us to liberate Jerusalem. I did. Made myself count of Jerusalem and forced the Emirate leader to accept my rights to own Jerusalem. Nothing happens though? It seems I haven't fulfilled the crusade?

So is the real target to take all 14 provinces of Emirate of Jerusalem? (If yes, then screw the pope I'm not doing that  )

Just like the calling of the crusade, the ending of a crusade is by event. Now that the crusade target is captured, the MTTH for the event kicks in. The more provinces around the target province in Christian hands the shorter the MTTH for the crusade to be considered a success.

Oh that's it!? Oops :eek:o I kind of *ahem* granted the province to one of my courtiers since he'd make a good vassal I thought....

So when it ends he'll get the glory, not me?

You got the glory (some prestige and piety) once you have conquered the Crusade-target.

Aha so even if it hasn't been "Crusade has ended" event yet I still receive the piety and prestige reward? I wonder how much one gets then? I hardly noticed a difference. It can't be much. In general I find it difficult to gain piety. I had hoped a crusade would give me a massive boost.

If you make the county of Jerusalem into a bishopric you get a lot piety.
