Im playing the ryukyu-challenge (doing good so far, conquered whole india), but it drives me crazy, because i dont understand when annexation is possible and when not.
ok, here we have 3 situations, every single one out of core-distance.
1. Right at the start i can vassal nepal and 10 years later i can annex it. (surprises me it works)
2. That doesnt work for Gujarat. I have to vassal gujarat and Kandesh right next to it. Then I can annex them. (thats the way i think it should be)
3. But in Africa that doesnt work neither. I conquered two small countries (Benin and Hausa) next to each other, made them my vassals, but i cant annex them. (why?)
remember, all of the countries here were out of core-distance, but we have 3 different results. Can anyone please explain me how it works?
ps: im playing eu4 without any dlc or mods.
pps: plz dont tell me i should go within the core-distance, im trying to safe some time and make big jumps to the west for the westernization.
