I've been flying my Gazelle, Mirage 2000C, and Huey in DCS, a little of XCOM2, started up some HOI3 ( funny reading some others liking 2 over 3 as I feel the same), and some GalCiv3. Hardly have enough time for all that!

If you haven't yet, play the commune of France, definitely the most fun nation imo, though all are fun ofc
Somehow I can't bring myself to play as France in any game I have ever played (even in Napoleon Total War for heavens sake!) Might have to change that policy tonight.

Sometimes being English can bring out some irrational quirks.

Favorite game of my childhood came out on Steam just in time. Been dumping a lot of hours into the Final Fantasy X Remaster on Steam since it came out. Even today that game stands up to what's out there in terms of story and gameplay quality. Of course, the graphics are a bit... dated.

If anyone decides to look into it because of this comment, just remember - Final Fantasy X-2 does not exist. :)

When I started reading your sentence I thought: he's gonna say something like "Clash of Steel" or "Nato vs. Warsaw Pact"... and then "Final Fantasy" came about. What a downer.

WoT a wee bit of CoH2 and Heroes & Generals.
^ H&G might be interesting to someone (free to play) basically it's what the title says. You have Generals that move resources on the map and then the battles are fought by players.
So for example if some guy from Germany sends to xxxxx city 500infantry, 40 light tanks and 30 recon while on other side some Soviet guy sends to same city 698 infantry 66 recon and 12 planes, then those are the "tickets" or number of respawns people fighting in that city will have.
Pretty cool, great and unique game

Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa recently came out and my favorite war game of all time. It has a brisk pace, it's not a colossal undertaking, it has all the depth needed, and has a fantastic line of events and decisions which truly thrust you into the shoes of Halder.

Rimworld, Xcom2 and Stellaris. Actually started playing Stellaris five days AFTER release, because of a good run on Rimworld :)

Warhammer, the reviews are looking good.

I'm playing Stellaris a lot now. I may go back to Total war Rome 2, or Attila or Shogon 2 with the Darth Mod for a while to let Stellaris mature (patches & DLC's)

I play Total war games or Paradox games because I like history [ Stalaris is future history ;) ].
I also liked Mass Effect 1,2 & 3 and played ME 2 to death.

I don't want to buy Warhammer at all....I do not want to support the the Warhamer trend at TW I maybe once it goes on sale just to check it out.

I am disappointed in HOI IV .... (no OOB & limited # of Generals) .... I may also wait. Really sad because I played HOI3 for hundreds of hours ,,,it was my main gain for a long time....

Both Ca and now Paradox are going for the "casual gamer" and ignoring the old loyal base.
