whats your fantasy to rome

ok that is one not so important at time, but we can begin to collect ideas for later events for imperium romanum. What do you think would have benn happened, when rome come back at around the 10th century . How would reacted the people, would the world not get a anxios kick and all unify against rome... what about the people in rome, do they accept a new rome or not.

If either the HRE or Byzantium reinstate Rome, the other would be mightily pissed. War perhaps, at least -400 relations and a permanent CB.

In the regular Grand Campaign I'm making the Papal States reunify Rome right now. I've taken most of Italy and some of the Lowlands; but my main effort has been directed against the pagans in North Africa and Anatloyia. I'm going to get strong through "liberating" them and then finish taking the rest of Rome.

In my opinion, the rest of Europe isn't acting how they really would, though. Papal States or not, the world wouldn't just sit idly by and watch someone try and recreate Rome. Think about all of the countries that would have to give up their sovereignty. If you're making it an event here, I think Europe especially should be very aggressive towards the country that's trying to recreate Rome.

Yes but if fell, and it's no secret that men for hundreds of years afterwards wished to re-create it in its former glory. Hence the conquests of Byzantium in Italy and of course, the Holy Roman Empire.
