I'm in a trade-focused game, so I wanted to do a rough census to see if my stats are normal.

War or Peace: At War

Highest Price:
Tobacco - 32.9
Copper - 32.3
Coffee - 31.2

Highest Trade Value: Lambardia - 113.4 for 2.7 units of Cloth.

But it is from a WC as HRE (minus Japan) and copper price grows ridiculously when the province owner is at war

Similar situation for me - except naval supplies again being made crazy expensive by being at war.

Irritatingly enough, I have 250 provinces/colonies at the moment but not a single copper producing province. Sardinia is actually my next target.

Well best way to beef up metal prices is to build few weapon manufactories, like 10, and wage wars in biggest possible number.

Assuming, of course, that you own metal provinces...

You also want to spam the first 4 levels of army buildings.

Take the good with the highest base price, get supply as low as low as possible (blockades, rebels, lack of that good) an then get demand to 200%. I'm interested what the highest possible price for a good is possible. Even grain can be worth over 30 ducats.

spamming marketplaces can make some goods reach 50-60 price , but it'd be fun to see how high they can be pushed!

1650, peace or war are now irrelevant to the top 5:

Tobacco
Coffee
Sugar
Chinaware
Cotton

Tobacco and Coffee are head to head. A caribbean province producing either of these has a production value of over 300 (my capital is in NA). They bring in more cash than most CoTs.
