What's with the silly looking tank art for DLC factions and biplanes?

It seems that all the minor DLC factions which historically either didn't produce tanks or produced a prototype or two got the same silly looking art for tanks, especially for heavy or superheavy tanks that looks more like steampunk creation than an actual vehicle one would design. And Greece and Turkey got a biplane model for all light airplanes until they get jets.
