I have now played two games since 1.30 long enough for the revolution to spawn, but each time with the same more or less disappointing outcome.
First campaign was France and second was with Austria. Both times a center of revolution spawned in my lands and started to spread the revolution throughout my provinces. However, in both campaigns a timer (of 20 years I think) ticked down without the revolution gaining enough traction in my country. I think both times more than 50 % but less than 80% of my provinces supported the revolution.
So the whole revolutionary events/mechanic ended without any effect, I think. Is that, what is supposed to happen? Should I somehow support the revolution to spread to more provinces, if I want to go revolutionary?
(the Wiki is not up to date on this mechanic)
(Edit: Problem solved. Thank you!)
