Hmm... well I hope I don't sound stupid assuming it was a Hungarian flag ;)

It's fine, I suppose you'd have to be somewhat familiar with U.S. political movements to figure it out without actually playing V2. The hammer with the half-a-cogwheel and sickle surrounding it is the symbol of the Communist Party USA.

My worst game was also my first. I played as Castille, and managed to expand rapidly after a dangerously close war against both portugal and aragon early on. Unfortunately, I didn't know at the time that poor provinces could actually slow your tech rate, so I expanded about 3/4 of the way down Africa by 1600, without having conquered or colonized anywhere else but Iberia. The maintenance costs for the African colonies ended up bankrupting me, leaving my armies unable to fight the constant rebellions in my uncored, wrong culture, wrong religion provinces. This, combined with a massive amount of inflation, led to a fizzling out of my power over time. I didn't realize just how weak I was until I warred with France, and then it was over.

Recent game as Byzantines got a quick ending after a decade or so of waiting for an opportunity to do. . . something. Prestige went so low cores that when and opportunity to take Morea rose They beat my army and occupied the southern tip of Greece. Then they somehow got Venice into the war even though they promised me they wouldn't. And it was game over. :(

Oh, I've got one!

Playing as Brittany, I slowly managed to conquer France by about 1480, supplemented by my Native American land grab. I was in the middle of putting down a couple rebellions when I had to leave the computer and take care of other business. The lesson I learned this day? Save.

I came back to my game 10 minutes later to find I was in 5 separate wars, 3 of which involved multiple major contenders. I was at war with England, Burgundy, Castille, the HRE, both the Mexican and American natives, and about a dozen minors. Not to mention the war exhaustion-triggered rebels... all over the place. I would have been able to fight against any one of these powers individually, but as a group I was pretty much outmatched, especially since a third of my country was occupied by the time I saw what happened.

Rage quit!

Lithuania. Poland won't make peace with Golden Horde. Let Smolensk rebel away, not knowing they'll be at war with me when they become independent. Give Smolensk Polotsk so they'll leave me alone. War exhaustion through the roof. Polotsk rebels away from Smolensk, Byelorussian patriots ahoy. PU with Poland breaks, give away provinces so GH will leave me alone. Polish patriots and Ruthenian nationalists ahoy. No money, no manpower. Rebels take Vilna. I collapse.

All this took place within 3 or 4 years.

A recent test game for my new comp. as Portugal. First of all their income was terrible, then it was as if the game decided that it would be hilarious to counter everything I did.

Prestige rising? Allies declare No Casus Belli wars.

Nearing next level of tech? Heretical; get rid of it.

About to finally hit 5 merchants in Andulucia? Merchants leave, you lose 3.

Have a good army? Discipline hit.

Stability at +3? No Casus Belli War. Oh, that didn't work? Smugglers.

Stability positive? More smugglers, revolting peasants make a petition, and a comet. In that order. In one year.

Have to get rid of a large part of your army because the economy isn't good? Berber Revolt or lose more prestige.

Several years ago, one of my first plays with Magna Mundi mod. The thing is - I didn't know about BB system :D So I conquered half Europe and then I wondered why rebels are spawning like hell and why is half the world declaring war, why taxes are so low ;x BB was close to 100 if I remember right... Even releasing vassals couldn't help, the Lithuanian Empire fell as quick as it boomed.

Just started up a game as Brabant. My first mission was to ally with Burgundy. However, this mission was mysteriously cancelled a year or two later. I look at Burgundy, and notice they have received a mission to conquer Brabant. Suddenly, a doomstack appears on my border. Needless to say, I rage quit only two years into the game.

I had started up an Ulm game, and since I ultimately planned to to switch away from Catholic later I enacted the Statute in Declaration of Restraint for the early prestige boost, which of course involved sinking my relations with the Pope. Less than a month afterward, in a stroke of bad luck, Wurttemberg of all things became Papal Controller before I'd had a chance to repair my papal relations. Needless to say, I was excommunicated and at war with half the HRE within days, and game was over rather quickly. :p

Playing as Aragon, beaten up castille and about to form spain, then forced into a personal union under france (i was hoping for the opposite all the years before when I made the marriage), got dragged into 4 different wars mostly with north africa and italy, of which I could not survive and lost a bit of territory from rebels as a result, then after getting fed up, challenged france to let me out of the union, bad move, came across border along with most of europe in tow to beat me up, each little nation taking a small chunk of my territory, with france getting the coup-de-grace of annexing me.

So much grief from one failed personal union, those things hurt!

Played as Trier once back in IN, I was weak and full of infamy, WE and in debt after expanding too quickly in the HRE and Burgundy offered me vassalation and I thought i'd take it for a reason I can't remember. I know I had intended on breaking free when my infamy was down and I had a proper army again, in the mean time I helped Burgundy extensively in many wars slowly making them powerful(stupid in hindsight haha). Then they inherited Aragon, kicked Castille's ass, at this point they stopped caring for their infamy and destroyed France and Milan, got super rich from Aztecs and Incans, practically ate the lowlands in one go before their power struggle with Austria(who inherited Poland-Lithuania and owned most of the Balkans, as well as was the Holy Roman Emperor).

Little be said but I stayed as a cute little yellow speck in a sea of burgundy for 200 years before finally giving up.

It was my first game and I played Naples. I initially made very good progress, conquered everything up to Milan in the north which meant that I essentially owned all of Italy and also the Balkan coast. I then started colonizing South America. After a couple of decades I owned all of the SA coast. That's when I thought: "Wow, is it really this easy?". Turns out it was not very economically beneficial to own all of the South American coast while every single province except three were mere colonies. But I kept going. About a decade after I was done colonizing, the Ottomans declared a Jihad against me (They had wanted the Balkan coastline back for quite a while). I decided I was going to let them take the provinces since they had a massive army. The only problem was that it turned out that they weren't going to settle for just that, oh no. They landed over 30k soldiers in mainland Italy and butchered my army. That's when I recieved another dreadful pop-up. It went something like this: "WAR!". For some inexplicable reason Great Britain declared a seperate war with me. Shortly after they too landed an enormous force in Italy. Later it turned out that they too were at war with the Turks. For the next two years the Brits and Turks went on a good ol' shindig on my ravaged lands. Conquering everything from me and then fighting eachother over it.

First time playing as Ireland and possibly one of first times of playing the game ever. At the begning everything seemed just fine, spammed spies, took Munster and Leinster as Connath( sorry for incorrect spelling) . Then a scary pop up came. It said England has declare war on Scotland. This was my chance, however it ended in disaster. Where Scotland got vassleised and I got annex -.-

As Wallachia, I was annexed by Moldavia.

This was a rare game were the GH fell apart early due to internal troubles, and Poland took great advantage. When I tried to take advantage by annexing Moldavia, Poland stepped in, which also brought in Lithuania and Hungary. Oddly enough, Moldavia managed to get to my territories first after my armies got wiped in Moldovia.

8 reloads and I still couldn't get Ryukyu to survive the year. As for a more interesting crash and burn game, I was France and started World War 1 at least 3 centuries too early. Destroyed everyone but got to play the not so fun game of rebel whack a mole.

In my very first game as Portugal I didn't yet understand infamy. I thought I was doing pretty well, attacking smaller states indiscriminately for sheer expansion, then suddenly everybody DOW'd me and I had no idea why.
