It was back in IN....no, I don't wanna bring up the horrible memories.....
I was an irish minor that had conquered all except meath
England that I thought was distracted with it's france/castille war
I declared war on england to take meath.
They land a 15k army on my land the next week
the rest ...you can guess

it ended with *ragequit* ..

Never rely on the opponent being distracted with anything but hordes. They'll white peace their fellow AI-ians just to focus on you a good bit of the time.

A few weeks ago when I had just started playing EU3 (never played a paradox game besides Mount and Blade) I decided to use the Timurids. I thought they would be easy to manage.

After trying to fend off a 30+ stack Ottoman invasion while already dealing with a 25+ Mamluke invasion and with rebels in nearly every province and a 15+ Dehli invasion in the south and Jalayids and Georgian's both threatening to invade I ragedquit.

Lol that was horrible. I was so discouraged. I then started a new game with Venice and tried to take out a bunch of random places lol. I got like 30+ infamy and then had every nation in Europe on my doorstep for some easy land. I tagged out to Austria and am doing much better now. Milan is a beast though after taking out Venice and Aqueila (slaughtered that spelling) along with Genoa, Sardinia, Savoy, and Modena. At least I took out Burgundy and formed Nevers and Brabant. I also took out Bavaria and formed Ausberg. As you can see I no longer like gaining any infamy

First game I played was as the Byzantine Empire. I was a newb to EU3, so I declared war on Achaea and ended up with a re-enactment of the Fourth Crusade. Suffice to say, it wasn't all that pretty.

My first game was quite similar. Byzantines, then saw I had the Holy War CB against the Ottomans. Thinking this would be some form of Crusade, I tried to join my brothers of the Faith in destroying the infidel...

Fortunately, though, Ottomans killed themselves by sieging Thrace and forcing my navies out into Marmara where they basically blocked their own straits. After that I basically sat back and sieged while the Ottomans died to rebels. I ended up not doing well in the war because I thought you had to wait for AI peace offers, that you couldn't make your own. (The ridiculousness of them almost made me ragequit)

I think yesterday was my most horrible/boring game. I played all day with my favourite OPM Friesland. You know it when you play OPM... doing nothing, doing nothing, send more merchants, wait, wait, got some vassals luckily, wait some more and yesss.. finally I can colonize! 10 years later > Burgundy + half Europe declares war Game for nothing!

Tried a game as Bar. Moved towards centralization, taken by pretenders, then annexed by Burgundy.

Tried Vijanaygar once. Instantly attacked Deccan thinking they would be easy prey, then attacked Orissa at the same time. Deccan killed my army and I ended up ragequitting.

I didn't think you could mess up playing as Castille, but I did! I tried to annex Aragon peacefully by continuously maintaining RM ties with them and hoping a PU or inheritance will follow. And I was overjoyed to find that Castille would inherit their throne should the current king die. That's when the Aragonese stupidly declared war on what they thought was a beaten France. I was so focused on forming Spain that I did not expand enough in North Africa apart from Ceuta and Melilla. And the new world had just been discovered and I had sent my troops to fight the Mayans. Before they could come back, Aragon was overrun by the French and they took all but Alicante, Barcelona and the Baleares. Then, they came knocking at my door while my army was still on its way back. When the French occupied Madrid, I lost it. When I realized that my 3* Maneuver admiral had died without me realizing it and that the entire fleet was still near the Romanche gap with a penalty of 14% and rising, I quit.

I didn't think you could mess up playing as Castille...

The one Castille game I tried was pretty bad. I attacked Granada, annexed them quickly, and then spent a few years destroying various armies the Morrocans and Algerians landed on me. Finally had enough and invaded their mainland, got my army destroyed, and then got a deceleration of war from Aragon who pulled in their ally Portugal...

Anyway, had my single province, and year was like 1401 or something. I think it was Ulster or someone that had taken my other 2 small irish neighbours.

Anyway, rebels pop up, Ulster defeats them, they walk into my province. And game over.

My first game as Austria, everything was going great, did the italy mission, had Bohemia in a PU, passed the first three reforms and had army tradition of 95% due to everyone attacking useless HRE minors whcih lead to Imperial Athority of 70. Bam! Reformation hits. Authority down the tube due to mass conversions, even bohemia converts and i can't convert them back because my authority is gone. Takes the idea that gives a CB on heretics to convert the wrongbelievers only to realize France is the DOF and has Burgundy and Castille in PU's. I died.

Egads, I've massively failed many times. I can't even get past two days in-game as Grenada. Songhai? Expand a bit, feel good, then one rebel stack appears (which I cannot kill) and then everyone else gangs up on me. It's very discouraging to lose to Hausa. Muscovy several times. Most recently I tried a game as Crimea (1456 I think), was beating back the *huge* Kazan armies and colonizing the GH, and Genoa decides to curb stomp me. Nicely done, I say.

My worst failure was probably my very first game as England, I didn't know what inflation was so I ended up 120% inflation by ~1600 or so, because I thought you had to gain money each month to go positive. As a result of inflation my tech was ten levels behind everyone and I was resoundly crushed by France and the Netherlands.

Another one was my first game as the Timurids, it was the first time I had played a tribe so when Timur died and I got the succession crisis, the rebels destroyed my country as badly as they do to the AI and I ragequit.
