whats the new deal with educaiton?

So with the new education system, can you now educate more than 2 children? I mean say you have 6 kids and you don't assign them all educators. It seems there is no longer a decision popup to assign them, and if I check it says I am the educator (if playing as the father).

Do the educator's stats matter anymore? I notice even playing with someone with godly stats and high learning that my kids are getting horrible stats. I try to choose the best routes based on their traits (willful etc.) but they still end up with really low stats compared to the main parent.

I didn't have time to check new system, but according to wiki (which is already obsolete afaik, but still better than nothing)

Kid stat growth is based on parent base stats (i.e. without traits and modifiers (???) ).

"Routes"? You mean education focus? (One of five, not one of eight childhood focuses chosen when kid is 6 years old).
Important thing to note is that childhood traits do not only influence education, but also evolve into normal trait.

Also, I feel that new education system was made with Way of Life in mind, so it may be difficult to get really good character. I, for one, feel that it's harder to get fourth level of education trait.

Thanks for the reply PK, yeah I think it's definitely harder to get really talented kids from talented parents, seems A LOT more random now, and I guess I am still confused, but that helps, thanks again.
