As the title says, what's the most childish and/or immature thing you've done in a playthrough? It can be virtually anything. I'll start;

After unifying the Netherlands, I make a quick rush to colonize the new world. After taking over much of the Eastern Seaboard in North America as well as the Caribbean, Antwerpen was stupid wealthy, about 3500 ducats by about 1500 AD. Course, I want all that money for myself. I created a new CoT in Manhattan, taking about 2700 ducats worth of value out of Antwerpen with it. Its also worth pointing out that I gained no new wealth in this move; it was purely redistributing my own wealth. Given that no one else had colonized much (and I pulled another immature stunt by having the natives pillage and destroy every one of Portugal's colonies), no one in theentire world could reach it, giving me an automatic monopoly on a 2700 ducat CoT for about 40 years.

You call that stunt??? You must be joking. If you call this stunt, then i tell you what i did.

Long long time ago, in the dark ages of europa universalis 1.3 there was small country of morea. It was weak, and got no wealth. But it dreamt of glory and power. So it went on rampage, eaten all on its way to transylvania, and even defeated hungary and ottomans, and all it in like few years or so! But it got terrible consequences, its economy was not able to hold such big army it had, and it was going to fall... but then i decided thats it, and i stopped playing cause i knew sooner or later someone will attack me, and my economy was piece of crap with revolt risk so high i would not manage to hold even the 10k of my army for long without bankrupting myself... I would need to wait 25 years for cores... And my infamy was to big to get any decent trade.

So this was immature. Now look at me, and look at you. And look again at me, and again at you. What you see?

that's the kind of gamey crap that i deliberately don't pull in my games. for me the fun-ness of a game comes from role-playing as a particular nation and managing to be successful playing a certain way.

i guess the most immature thing i've ever done in that regard would have to be just earlier today, breaking truce five or six times in a row using a subjugation CB as austria against burgundy, trying to complete the burgundian inheritance mission. i eventually lost the CB (time expired), but by then i could fabricate claims, did so, and forced a PU in the last war.

I've done the above and embargoed countries who were taking a good cut. I have also conquered regions so I could have my initials on the political map as well as making a bunny while exploring the north atlantic. Hmmm... yeah, I have to much time on my hands. Well actually omeone I play against regularly moved England to where France is, France to Spain and Spain to England and so on. Knowing that someone spent so much time doing that makes me feel better about my life. But maybe it shouldn't....

Nice. But i conquered whole europe as france taking only military NI's, and no QFTNW in eu3 vanilla - no more known neighbours except ottoman empire. And i am not sure if i did conquered them or not, but anyway. Kind of European Union, but forced. Did not cared about taxes or anything, just went on rampage until i ate last of my neighbours. Lot of spies on core producing machine.

The title and the first post aren't really in the same plane, so I shall take the title as my guide.

The most immature thing I have done was this: I played Bihar and formed Hindustan by 1410, playing quite aggressively, breaking alliances, dishonouring calls, waging war on fellow religious brethren. But I became the green blob I wanted to be. Then I decided to reclaim my cores in Rajputana and the Timurids.

The Rajputana was a breeze, but I hadn't noticed the year of play. I assumed that it was late enough in the game that the Timurids would be weakened by their western wars. I stupidly sent a doomstack into attrition rich Quetta to take it.

That war ruined me. Not only were the Timurids strong, they had managed to conquer as far as Yazgod in Ottoman by 1415. They had a powerful ruler/general who came with three different doomstacks by which time my army had lost all will to fight. I was massacred in the Hindu Kush mountains (true to their name, I must say) and then the black and red poured in, taking punjab, kashmir from me. Eventually, I had to concede defeat.

That is why YOU need to use atrition on their doomstack, not the opposite. Just use scorched earth - put 1 unit on all border provinces, and when you see their armies heading to you - scorch earth and withdraw. And if they follow - scorch earth and withdraw. Then when their doomstacks die of atrition, kill them off, and siege all of their provinces with 1k stacks, and just bring the bigger armies (15k stack - with at least 5 calvary) And you ofc should have armies build to the limit.

Immature thing? Hmm...

- Regularly milking the natives for ducats. If they don't give any, I just hold their provinces occupied for years as punishment.
- If I play as an OPM that moved capital to the New World, I'd declare war and seize every New World single colony I find (if militarily possible). I'd start big wars with half of Europe even if it's just one odd fish-producing colony. My (few) continental possessions would be raped and my navy would have to work over time locking enemies to their ports. Lots of trouble for little gain really.

Occupying all of Castille (after destroying all of their armies) when all I wanted in a peace deal was 1 province because they destroyed one of my armies. Then doing the same to Portugal, because they declaread a war on Aragon which I guaranteed. For an extra bit of immaturity I did not peace out with Castille until after I was done with Portugal.

-If there is a country that is REALLY bugging me in a game, when I finally get the upperhand in a war, I will keep their country occupied 100% and keep it that way for several years, squashing revolts and ignoring peace terms.
I do it just to spite the AI, even if I know the AI does not give 2 sh1tz.

-I also like to completely blockade an island nation (AHEM!ENGLANDCOUGHCOUGH) just for the lulz and the money. Once I blockaded them for 49 years continuously as France. Their so called Royal navy was really cramping my style, so now it rots on the sea bottom.

-lastly, I try to make peace on January 1st so I can steal all their year-end census taxes. I am not sure if that is immature, but its greedy at least.

When I have a really large army ready in a game that I really don't care about, and it is destroyed. I throw punctuation to the wind and tag swap to them. Force Disband Their Armies.

But if they kill my entire army, I tag switch. Then offer myself a really good peace deal.

I tried to form italy as tuscany, and started to annex, everyone around. Ended in loosing all possible provinces due to badboy wars(duh), and becoming vassal of ottoman empire, loosing one of provinces to them. Then i ragequited.

Iwanow, I hate to tell you this, but the OP's example is more of a stunt then what you did. Not that either of them really qualify, but eh.

Most immature thing I did was probably funding rebels that would in no way defect to me in a nation that had slighted me much earlier in the game, just to pester them.

I dont get it. Whats 'immature' about any of this?

I colonize the whole new world by myself everytime too, and I dont see whats wrong with that. Its a game, if you cant play it aggressively Im not sure whats the point..

Outside of using console controls because you're a baby that can't handle losing, I can't really see anything immature that's possible in the game.

A lot of these just seem to be clever/gamey, not immature or childish.

I guess the most childish thing I did was take apart Great Britain as France after they kept messing with me. I wasn't even getting anything out of it past a certain point, I just wanted to crush them as hard as I possibly could without removing them from the game.

This is made all the sillier by the fact that it was an AI and it didn't really give a damn what I did to it. But it sure made me feel better.
