What's the latest patch + What mod recommended?

I bought CK+DV today, but I don't know what's the latest patch, as it seems they're sort of unofficial now. Also, what mods do you recommend?

The last patch is the 2.1 beta. It's official, just not final. Highly recommended.

As for mods -- I recommend the DVIP

For mods, either DVIP or TASS.

jordarkelf always recommends DVIP, and Veldmaarshalk always recommends TASS.

As said, the latest 2.1 beta patch from October.

For mods ... well install the game, apply the beta patch, then copy the whole CK folder to a new directory. Then apply DVIP to one and TASS to the other, and check them out each.

They are both good .. in different ways. Once you have tried both, you can just keep playing the one you prefer.

Besides those, I would suggest the IAmWhoa's SFX mod, to turn down some of the more annoying sound effects in the game.

There are also some mini-mods, graphics mods and event mods you might want to check out. Most of the best mini-mods are available as add-ons in DVIP.
