I got tired of managing various pops trying to min max everything, so for next run I'm planning to go pure. Except maybe robots since it'll be too big of a handicap without them. I don't necessarily want to purge aliens though. Just want to kick them out of my land, but is there a way to do so while being egalitarian? Or are authoritarian and xenophobe the only ways to expel other races? Also which asecnsion path would you prefer? Bio seems to be the best since it helps with pop growth which I'll be needing a lot, but Psi seems to go well with the theme. Feel free to give suggestions for a fun game, thank you.

Strictly speaking, you want to kick them out of THEIR land, not your land. That doesn't sound very egalitarian to me. Hard to see how a people would justify that while staying egalitarian unless their egalitarianism was trumped by a dose of xenophobia, depersonaling the others as non-people. :p

So just accept that if an empire of yours is going to be entertaining notions of species purity by getting rid of xenos post conquest, xenophobia is the natural fit. Just purge and tell the people to enjoy their lebensraum and that the troublesome xenos were relocated to outside your borders. What they don't know won't bother their consciences.

I don't necessarily want to purge aliens though. Just want to kick them out of my land, but is there a way to do so while being egalitarian?
That is called Displacement Purge.

However I heard bugs that the game considers both the time and penaly as if it was a Extermination purge. Have not verified it myself, however.

There's no reason you can't be an Egalitarian Xenophobe, and displace the aliens by setting default rights to "Undesirables, Displacement Purge". That way, any organics that aren't you get kicked out automatically.

"All people are created equal, but aliens aren't people."

Play a peaceful xenophobic isolationist empire and you won't have any problems. : )

You can absolutely play without robots but yeah if you want just 1 species you have to either exterminate or assimilate all the others.

I've had a few "Xenophobe" games and as long as you don't allow for migration treaties, don't take refugees, don't allow migration by default, etc. you're mostly fine. Just need to worry about your main [or main two if Syncretic].

As for conquered worlds I mostly make them cattle farms BUT it's annoying that the other worlds have a high species mix. How am I supposed to nerve staple and make delicious what feels like 3 dozen species if anyone has taken Xeno Compatibility??

Yeah xeno compatibility is a bitch to gene mod, even as the player who takes it its just hard to control it, which I guess is kind of the point...

Another fun one is authoritarian xenophile. "We love aliens and we want to mistreat them just as bad as we mistreat our own citizens!"

One way to go is to give them residency, and the worse living condition you have.Just make them very unhappy.
You can create vassal with one planet of prefered type and sign migration threatty. They should migrate there.
If you Egalitarian Xenophobe you can enslave Xenos, you may even set them rights to livestocks. You just cant set stratified society for your specie.
You can also just displace purge.

Xencomp species are just considered a Subspecies of one of hte parent species.
Just fold those down to one set of Traits and it is not any more bothersome then having 10 speecies to begin with.

Objection, your honour. There is no mistreatment of people implied in authoritarianism in Stellaris.

Xenophile authoritarianism: Sheltering Xenos with a firm paternal hand since 2016.
