Hello.

I'm really sorry if this has been asked, but I haven't been able to find anything. Even on the official site.

Other than the new features, Day/Night etc., what will be part of the game?
What kind of transport, what cities, how many vehicles etc. etc.

The reason I'm asking is, I saw the Steam sale on DLC for CiM - and saw the new transport option you got from them and wonder if they will be added from the start or added via DLC again.
Also if I pre-purchase what am I actually paying for :)

Thanks :)

It looks like they have remote Helicopters and added trolleybuses.
The game will include buses, trams, trolleybuses, waterbuses and metro.

Sadly there are no info on the campaign or the cities you can play :(
But it looks like a major upgrade, and might be more fun to get CiM2 than the DLC :)

The campaign is there, and will consist of bigger goals - so instead of having to "build a tram line there and there", you will have to "make your city grow that much" or "raise your company's revenue", etc.
All the cities are fictional, and telling from what we've seen in the developer diaries, we will most probably have 5 pre-made cities to play in.

Dynamic Cities on/off switch

I'm looking forward to the dynamic city play, but some other posts I've read the posters said they are not. Can dynamic cities be turned on/off. Just as an example someone builds a replica of a major city and shares that region with the community. If I download and play that map can I freeze dynamic buildings so the map won't change? Having the option seems logical as at some point I'm sure we will all want to play a city that won't change.

Yes. You will be able to turn off the dynamic city feature (it was stated by the devs a while back). Not sure if it would be possible during gameplay or only before starting a new game.

All the cities are fictional
That's actually my only gripe in regards to the release of this game, the fictional cities. However, if the gameplay is as good or better than CIM1 I'm quite willing to overlook that fact for the time being. Hopefully they'll release real cities in DLC packs, as the inclusion of real cities was one quality that made CIM1 great ( they really knew how to play the historical part well too ).

Couldn't agree more

Great news thank you. That would be the best of both worlds where maybe you could dynamically grow a whole city, then decide that it's just too great to change and reload the map but turn dynamic cities off. I'm looking forward to seeing what some of the talented players here will create.
