Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware this was time for accusations of piracy, or that whether I'm a pirate or not has anything to do with the discussion. It's not my job to work with a bug reporter. It's my job to enjoy the damned game that I've spent money on for the purpose of enjoying. Would you buy a computer if the manufacturer had to send you parts to incomplete hardware on a monthly basis? Would you buy a car if it had to go into the shop every four weeks?
I bought everything, if it makes my argument any more legitimate or illegitimate. And I kinda wish now that I hadn't.
Paradox Entertainment is just another of the many actively dishonest publishers that work off the 'release a game in beta to make money early, patch and repair as necessary' method. The suits in charge of the publisher are not in this business for the love of video games, they are in this to make money for themselves and the shareholders, and they don't give a damn about the devs or us, so long as we give them our money and don't start lawsuits/boycotts to draw negative attention.
I realize this is the forum of the developer, but if we don't speak up, our grievances will not be heard, and Paradox Interactive will fail in the same way that EA and most other publishers have, and Paradox Development Studio will fall just like myriad other devs attached to the publishers have, and while there will be profits, the money made from selling us down the river and then falling apart due to public uproar is short term and doesn't last, compared to that made from the long-term investment of catering to your damned customers, acting like a respectable business, and making it possible for the developers to complete their task and market a complete and polished game, instead of trying to sell us a bridge every three months.
We are loyal customers. We put up with the DLC, because we want to see Paradox succeed and prosper. DON'T MISTAKE OUR ENTHUSIASM FOR GULLIBILITY AND MAKE US PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF TELLING YOU WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR PRODUCTS.
