-More reasons to go to war instead of just "claim this county". There are a BILLION reasons why i want to go to war. Frankly, the medieval ages were full of wars that were...just for the sake of killing the enemy population off (genocide). And wars just.. because the one duke/king got pissed at this other duke/king and decided to fight it out.
-Wars that are more.. final. Tired of beating up a kingdoms/dukedoms army to get one small strip of land. Allow me to either chain my claims together to get a bigger claim or allow me to claim an entire kingdom WITHOUT having a holy war. If you really need to have the pope involved, allow a small decrease/increase in his faction rating towards you, not an entire holy war because you want some land.
-Factions seem to gain allies and massive armies immediately after declaring a revolution/civil war. This simply didn't happen, unless there is a diplomacy setting behind the scene that im not seeing, in which case, make that more transparent. I want to see why 4-5 of my dukes (who LOVE me) suddenly declare war on me just because one duke decided to rebel. This just creates succession wars that are no fun and simply not fair. At least give me a chance. Let ME have allies with huge armies as well.

In a sense what i seek is more freedom to do what i want with my kingdom, at least in the early game.

What I'd Like to See:

A King's Men (and women) faction. Also it'd be nice if faction backers acted in their own best interest more often. The system's a huge improvement over what we had before, but it could be improved.
Innse Gall Divided into at least two provinces, Lewis & the Uists and Mull & Islay would make the most sense.
'A Legacy of Rome' style treatment for the Goidelic peoples - considering Ireland is a popular stomping ground for those of us who like to start as one province minors, it'd be fun to see what the Paradox Devs can come up with.

What I don't Want to See:

Celtic Peoples being ignored :p

No, a loyalist would be someone who doesn't plan on making war with the king should he refuse their demands. Ergo, everyone not in a faction is a "loyalist."

Since the king can raise levies from those who aren't rebelling, they are on his side. Since vassal armies are hostile to rebelling forces, they are helping the king.

There is no need to implement a loyalist faction because loyalism is the standard, factions are deviations from it.

The way the AI works there are no vassals who aren't part of a faction. With the current system the liege is always on his own.

More meaningful benefits to medium/high crown authority rather than just briefly for succession law changes (people have noted that counts seem to have no problem fighting their duke at medium crown authority because they aren't 'the kings' vassals when in practice such private wars make crown authority a joke. Faction system also needs to be toned down a bit (so don't have 50+ relation lords in half the factions for no obvious reason) and/or the consequences of rebellion more meaningful without making people resort to intrigue.

That's simply not true. In my game, I was the Queen of Norway, who ruled over duchies in England, Finland, Sweden, France and Aragon, and ruled for a very long time with only 0-2 vassals being in a faction at any given time.

Some kind of trade mechanic. Have a way for your character too make money besides just taxing the peasants. If we could have some kind of market system and special resources. The trade routes system from EU4 could be a model.

Good years and bad years, it seems strange that i can count on my demesne making pretty much the same from year to year. Why no droughts, or bumper crops.

The ability for small armies to not give direct combat, but instead harass a large force driving up attrition. If the large force has a better commander skilled in fighting these tactics they could track them down. But its silly that a small force would even give direct combat to a massive doomstack. So some kind of evasion skill is needed.

I dont want to see female generals in the vanilla game. For a fantasy mod it would be fine. But it would be immersion breaking in Medieval Europe.

As a minor fix, some sort of Cultural Building history would be nice. A succession hiccup resulted in a single Frankish King of Georgia, which resulted in the decimation of all of my beautiful Cataphract Training Grounds... I understand them being inactive when you're the wrong culture, but for them all to be torn down? Ugh.

It seems to me that it would make more sense for them to solely be attached to the culture of the province - and the ruler shouldn't matter. It would still mean they'd get torn down if the province changes culture, but that doesn't happen nearly as often.

My whislist:
- college of Cardinals
- an event for the Holy Roman Emperor (or any other Empire-tier catholic ruler) to vassalize the Papacy under certain circumstances
- a Catholic event to mend the schism
- a western-europe chance of re-establishing the Roman Empire
- better Crusade and Jhiads mechanics
- an event for Islamic players to end the division between Sunni and Shia: this event should lead to the destruction of one of the two Caliphates and the trasnformation of the losing side into an eresy of the other
- better "rewards" if an Islamic player conquers Rome or Constantinople (with great damage for Christianity). Same thing if a Christian player conquers Mecca (with great damage for Islam)
- Sunni and Shia should be able to holy war each other, and see each other as enemies
- something to save the east-african kingdoms
- bonuses for the religion group that holds Jerusalem, maluses for who doesn't... Just to encourage both sides in warring for the Holy Land more often (the name of the game is CRUSADER kings)
- When a Religious Leader calls all the "brothers in the faith" to help someone in distress (for example the Pope, the Caliph, the Ecumenical Patriarch, etc) they should answer in numbers. This can help to "save" the Iberian Kingdoms and avoid weird Fatimid's jihads on Italy. On the other hand it should favour more mega-wars between Chirstians and Muslims.

And that would give some advantage to having a multicultural nation. Not a big advantage, just a little spice for what would otherwise be a nonsensical gaming choice

Something I have always wanted to see is the ability to review wars that have taken place. I.e. a table that shows the longest war, the bloodiest, the most troops involved etc. It would automatically update and could be reviewed at any point in the game. That way you could see how your wars stack up against others around the map, historically and currently. You could also compare with other CK2 players on the forum.

My only complaint (more of my bad choices then a broken mechanic):

I am Achaia, I have a cadet branch in France, and I have senority succession. Switching between branches, every leader is Greek then Frankish then back again. I can't have cultural buildings as a result, because my next leader will just tear it down.

I want someway of not having my building torn down by my bad choice of marrying my son off to a French Countess ;_;.

I'd like to see a detailed history of the game like in Europa Universalis.
Naturally, I'd like it to be better and more coherent that EUIII's.
Covering major events in each of your rulers' reigns would be really cool. Wars, inheritances, and major plots should be covered. But it would be a lot of work to get a feature like this decent.
